What did his voice sound like?

Did it speak of hellfire? The same kind that ran through his veins and under his bruised heels, scorching the new earth he wandered upon? Did it leak into his guttural taunts? Words lighting flames under your wrists until they raced to grasp forbidden flesh; was it bite or be burned?

Or

Did thunder hide beneath his breath? The same kind that crashed through the abyss mere days before? Did you revel in the way his lies shook up your spine as that pulp ever so softly breached your parched lips; tell me, Eve, which was more tempting;

the sugar or the sin?

What did she look like?

Did you find her with scarlet dribbling down her chin, primal and beastly amongst the cyanide seeds? Did she hold you down with talons of bone, pushing pits against your clenched teeth til they parted, allowing poison to seep through the cracks? Was it taste or be torn?

Or

Was she in the midst of rhapsody, pupils blown wide with the wonder of true sight? Did your eyes drink in her mulberry cheeks as you ed her in immoral merriment, pulling her near to lick the wine straight from her mouth; tell me, Adam, which were you drunk on;

her kiss or her claws?

What did it feel like?

Did shame clasp you in his iron grip? Did he cover your limbs with fig leaves to hide your honey-dipped fingers, and leave muted prayers upon your tongues to scrub away the stench of vineyards?

Or

Did revelry overtake your senses, torrid and lovely in it's intensity? Did you bathe in the searing nectar of this world, inhaling the luscious perfume of volition, naked and free under the sultry sun?

Oh tell me, lovers, which was sweeter;

The fruit or the fall?
