1. What is your name/name/nickname?
My name is Turtles-And-Pandas but I go by Cait or Tortoise.
2. What age group do you belong to?
I’m 28.
3. What continent are you from?
North America :us:
4. What is your first language? How many languages do you know?
My first language is English but I also know some Spanish, German, and Arabic.
5. How did you discover this community?
It was recommended on the home screen.
6. If you are newer here, what do you hope to do/learn/get out of this community?
I’m looking for writing tips and book recommendations.
7. If you’ve been here for a while, what advice do you have for newcomers?
I just got here.
8. Do you consider yourself more of a reader or a writer?
Idunno. I guess a little bit of both.
9. What is your favorite kind of blog to make here (i.e. book reviews, poems, discussions...)? What is your favorite kind to read?
I just got here.
10. What is your preferred reading age genre?
YA.
11. What is your preferred reading genre (i.e. Fantasy, Chick-Lit, Thriller...)?
Urban Fantasy. I love the idea that magic can be here in the real world.
12. What is your favorite book/series?
The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky.
14. Who is your favourite author?
I hesitate to say Robert Heinlein because I’ve only read one of his books (Stranger In A Strange Land), but it’s one of my favorites.
15. Have you ever published a piece of writing? If so, was it self-published or traditionally published?
I published a short story in my college’s literature journal as well as self- published stuff on places like Quotev back in the day and AO3.
16. What format do you prefer writing in (i.e. short stories, poems, letters...)?
My goal is a full length novel one day.
17. What genres do you prefer to write (i.e. FanFiction, Romance, Mystery...)?
Fanfiction and Urban Fantasy.
18. What are some of your favorite book quotes? Any original quotes of yours that you’d like to share with all of us?

19. If you were an animal, what animal would you be?
A turtle or a panda of course!
20. If you were a mythical creature, which one would you be?
I’d want to be a mermaid. I’ve always been drawn to the sea.
21. If you could befriend a fictional character or creature, who/what would it be and why?
I’d want my own personal dragon friend. They’re so cool and powerful.
22. Have you made any friends through this community? If not quite “friends”, have you met any cool people you’d like to give a shoutout to?
Not yet, though I hope to soon!
23. In what age did you start reading? Did you a favorite childhood book?
I started reading around four. I a Christmas book about a sled was a favorite, though when I got older it was Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. (I actually visited her grave recently, so that was really cool.)

In The Lives of Puppets by TJ Klune

Stranger in A Strange Land by Robert Heinlein
25. Name three books you recently finished and didn’t like as much as you expected to.
A Botanical Daughter by Noah Medlock
Not that it was bad, my partner just really hyped up and I wasn’t satisfied with the ending.
26. If you could befriend a book character, who would it be?
Charlie from The Perks of Being A Wallflower. I was a lot like him at that age and I think we would get along.
27. If you could live in any literary world, where would it be and why?
Harry Potter. I’m still waiting on my Hogwarts letter!
28. What book are you currently reading? Writers, what writing project are you currently working on?
I’m in between books right now but I’m working on writing a piece about witches.
29. Do you have any other hobbies or interests?
I do needlepoint and am trying to teach myself how to code.
30. Is there anything else you’d like to tell us about yourself?
Not really. I just hope I can have fun here and make some friends!

Ooo, I didn't know there was an Urban Fantasy genre, I have a piece that I've been working on that actually falls under that genre, too
