1. What brought you to this community and what convinced you to stay?

2. What have been some of your favorite moments or events in B&WA?

3. How have you grown as a reader/writer since you first ed?

4. What are some of your favorite pieces (either yours or someone else’s) and why?

5. Other than books and writing, what's something you enjoy doing in your spare time?

6. Anything else to add?

1. Originally I was looking for somewhere to practice writing and experiment creating different characters and my friend suggested here. I stayed because this community is filled with so much positivity and kind hearted people, it was an easy choice to stay.

2. That’s a hard choice. I think I’d have to say both the spirit wars and inktober are my favorites. Seeing how differently interpreted the same daily theme was inspiring and I love the creativity that floods the community.

3. As a reader, I would say that the range of genres I read has grown quite a bit thanks to some great book recommendations I got here. As a writer, I feel I have more confidence in my writing and slowly I’m improving when it comes to world building.

4. There’s so many pieces to chose from but I’ll try to narrow my choices down.

I loved Evangeline’s ‘What the feminine version of emasculated.’ Its a great, non sexist, take on how women are expected to stay silent while men can complain freely.

Another piece I enjoyed is Pragya’s ‘To the gates of Heaven.’ They’re perspective of a soul trapped in Hell willing to take a chance to get to Heaven was beautifully written and a joy to read.

Rei’s collaborative piece with Deb, ‘Love as enchanted as the seasons,’ is such a beautiful piece that perfectly captures the feeling of a lonely heart. Their writing styles blended seamlessly together and created something enchanting.

Of my own work, the only one I’m truly proud of at the moment is my Mythology of the stars.’ I’m really proud of how it came out and hopefully I can expand on it in the future.

5. One thing I’ve always loved to do is draw. Redeg characters, bringing friend’s ideas to life or drawing characters from books is something I love doing.

6. This community has become a safe space for me to express my thoughts through stories and I want to thank you all for inspiring me :two_hearts:

1. I had gotten into poetry on another amino, so I decided to some sort of writing community, thus I came upon this Amino. I decided to stay because of the fun I had writing and reading other posts

2. My favorite memories happen to also be events, so I can answer both! My favorite events have been Spirit Wars and Inktober, though Spirit Wars was definitely harder :skull: . Inktober was so much fun spending the spooky month writing, while spirit wars made me question my life choices!

3. I've definitely grown a lot. I didn't really rhyme at all with some of my first poems, I just thought as long as a message got across, it was good. When I actually started to approve in poetry is when I started to have flow to my poems. Reading poetry on this amino helped a lot with this process. I started rhyming, getting familiar with how certain words flow together, and not just looking at whether words rhyme or not. I'd like to think I've grown a lot in the past 2 years.

4. My personal favorite post of mine include Little , probably because they were written with first-hand experience of having online friends who impacted my life a surprising amount.

My favorite post of others include city snail , they both have very good flow and I love almost all of these peoples poetry

5. I love to draw! I'm not very good at it yet, but I'm still gonna be trying in my spare time! I've also taken up boxing recently, just needed something to do during the summer.

6. Yes, I would like to request that we hold the first spit wars for 2023. Me, Angel, and Brogan have been talking about this in the debate club chat (after a 40-minute argument about whether hotdogs were sandwiches), and we think spit wars would be very cool.

(Sorry to all who don't get this reference)

edit from Brogan: thanks for the free spit wars ment, Ranboo  🫣

1. Well basically i have only one friend irl that likes to read but not always the same stuff i read so i needed someone to talk to about books, so i took my phone, went on amino and searched lit "books" and this came out. What convinced me to stay? The fact that it has been easy for me to blend in when i'm not a person that knows how to do that easily. It's the most active amino i have i think and i love the content i found and the challenges.

2. The most enjoyable is for sure the fact i found inspiration to write something after two years i haven't written anything. It was short stuff but i felt so good right after, i haven't felt like that even while reading my fav book for the first time.

3. As the second answer already have spoiled i'm both a reader and a writer ahah. Tho i have to say my style of reading and writing is really different. Like i LOVE to read fantasy romance, i don't care if spicy or not, i can read romance without fantasy too but the story must be really cool to take me to give it more than 3 stars. Else, i love thriller and mistery (*coaf* highly recommend the library of the dead *coaf*). In writing? Well i wrote horror mostly, the mistery is there too, and sci-fi. I don't write romance, i dunno how to do it, sincerely, so maybe one time in the future? for now not really.

4. Well i've taken part in the Spirit wars this year (and won with my beautiful team GO PALADINS) and if that didn't inspire me in activity i dunno what should ahah but actually i'm most active in chatrooms. I found really cool people in the spirit wars even if they weren't my teammates and now we're all together talking in an hangout chatroom, asking stuff about themes, recommending books, spotify playlists.

5. I do love to sing and act. my dream job is to be an actress of disney musicals like the greatest showman or old disney channel tv series. AND i would absolutely love to one day be one of my fav characters of books that doesn't have a tv adaptation yet. I already have someone in mind!

6. Yes, i would love to say to everyone that we all share a beautiful hobbie here. That's a safe place and you don't have to stress yourself with "is this good enough" or not. Just enjoy your hobbie, have fun, and share with your friends. We're all in the same situation so at least here you can find who can understand <3
