I am fragmented, in remnants,

And broken beyond repair,

But that is not what stops me,

Not enough to end my being,

I may have lost countless battles,

Even the most recent one,

But that will not end me now,

Instead, it will push me forward,

Your words are just poisons untrue,

Goal is to halt my marching,

And relentless, your critiques

That are all biased at a fault,

Though all of that will not stop me,

Not a single word you say

Can ruin my spirit, hope,

For I am my grandmaster,

I might have lost this one battle,

But that won't stop me— never,

For I shall rise from the ash,

Be the phoenix among the flock,

My life goes to a crescendo

That's only rising, rising,

Reaching the gold, zenith state,

Achieved by my perseverance,

This loss is not my pinnacle

Nor is it my dénouement,

It is but a snag, though small,

That will help me reach the Heavens,

I am not afraid of your words,

Of insults you've sent to me,

For this… this is my ion,

And I'll chase it 'till end of days,

While you, you only have your words

Most foul and quite unpleasant,

And your words have no affect

On one whose aim's to soar, to fly,

I am fragmented, in remnants,

And broken beyond repair,

I'm broken, but that is fine,

For that's how the light gets in me,

And that is why I glow brighter

Than the flames that surrounds me.
