I am especially proud of this one.

.

Lightening strikes the drifting sand,

Bolts unleashed at Thor's command,

But its not a God, doubt existential,

Its simply electrical potential.

The sky grows dark, at brightest day,

The Sun God above demands we pay,

But its not a warning for our bad actions,

Shadow moon blocking light refractions.

Burn the witch, for bringing plague!

Athough the evidence is a little vague.

Not knowing facts, brings us to our knees,

Its simply bacteria, on rats with fleas.

The droughts and floods of capricious Gods,

Our modern intelligence defrauds,

For we know now about climate variation,

And the loss and gains of irrigation.

The mighty Oak, and the slippery eel,

Come from different spokes of the same wheel.

Random mutation and Natural Selection,

Require deep time, not genuflection.

Image not mine

Oooo yooo that flow and rhythm really tickled my brain!!!

I love the introduction of each myth and superstition, then the debunking right after. It’s just really fun lol.
