Floor 1

As usual I write on the computer, losing track of time, just writing, I don't know why, I just know that I have to.

But today the silence that pervades the place is strange, almost frightening. Suddenly I noticed an envelope. I picked it up and found that its weight was the opposite of its light appearance, as if it were alive and pulsating. Written on the back of it was “Floor 1.”

I almost thought it was a joke, if I hadn't seen number one on the list in the elevator when I entered. I pressed a button, only to feel as if someone else had pressed it not long after.

Upon arrival, I did not hear the bell that indicated my arrival, just an annoying buzz. I took a step forward. The first thing I noticed was that the walls were not made of concrete, but rather of a material similar to human skin, and there was a lot of fog that limited my vision to a distance of one meter.
