They ask me over and over again,

“When are you going to fall in love?”

But it haven't crossed my mind even once,

For I know it'll come when it's time,

Yet, steadfast, they remained inquisitive

About a life not theirs to control,

Words of mine only fell unto deaf ears

That barely showed consideration,

Is falling in love a requirement?

A rite of age that's to be done?

Would I be crippled and be withered down

If I haven't found the perfect one?

No, I do not think that will be the case,

The world revolves not from my command,

And nether will the universe collapse;

I am insignificant to them,

I live in my own , not by the stars,

Not by the whispers of another,

I am not an extention of their lives,

So why would it all matter to them?

Only I could ever decide my path;

I will not force life to bend over

And cater my needs, to match with the rest

Of the people for validity,

If I don't think it's time to fall in love,

Then I would not prioritise it,

Besides, how could I ever fall in love

When I could not even fall asleep?
