The shadows fade where night's soft breath descends,
A whispered query, unanswered, hangs in air.
Your silence deepens, my seeking heart suspends,
Ignored again, a burden hard to bear.
Does some dread hold your tongue, a hidden fear?
Am I to taste the bitter sting of lies?
Will this frail journey suddenly disappear?
Will fragile blooms be severed from the skies
Am I to drift, a soul without a guide,
Lost myself into the darkness of silver moon?
The crimson hue where ions once did ride,
Now pales and fades, and would not be undone.
This empty space returns each spoken plea,
A hollow echo, mocking what I crave.
An ancient love inscribes its destiny,
Yet in farewell, a hopeful smile I save,
For in the ending, a new dawn I see.
