Drifting Into The Bright Shadow

I've drifted, away into the dark

abyss of light, there's only one way

that's it, there is nothing to live for,

that's what they really mean to say.

This is a reality, it really is

it's been whispered beneath the sign of deception, deception and forgotten truths

this is our end, the beginnings of our obsession

with perception of light.

What hand have they dealt with the devil, we've lost our embrace

with the darkness, it has dissipated

we have drifted into a strange light,

nothingness would be welcome.

Where is your will to scream and shout, I can't see anything

nothing but a lightness plagued by a strengthening deception,

just light,

a weight descends with light, I think it's dark

I might be one of those participating.

I must go, I am gone

away to their cell of safety and happiness,

it is done, the weight has collapsed, my alibi is charred, I know that now

I used to be crazy,

but now I am

it makes sense,

I was part of a shadow, away from the dark

Now I'm face to face with the devil disguised as god.
