It's funny to think about how the theatre's

always represented by a pair of masks,

the first one, Comedy, is always laughing,

the other, Tragedy, on the verge of tears,

Maybe it's because they both go hand in hand,

one cannot live only with happiness, and

likewise, one cannot live only with sadness;

the eternal pair, Comedy, Tragedy,

Not only in life, but also in most plays

do we see the pair in a pivotal scene,

there cannot be a beautiful play wherein

at least a smidge of the other isn't there,

But if we were to combine this godly pair,

we get what is called a tragicomedy,

a play or scene, unfurled before audiences,

as something that is both funny and tragic,

And by all means do we live in a world that

is tragicomical, both happy and sad,

but sometimes- most of the times- do we all wish

to live in a world that is without sadness,

However, let me be the voice of reason

that too much of a good thing isn't quite right,

and we should all savour the balance that is

set before us by the turning wheels of fate,

For maybe it was predestined that we all

live life with both Comedy and Tragedy,

masks that govern the theatre, to remind us

that we're but actors of someone else's stage.
