Poem 'bout cats,

Nothing more,

Nothing less...

                     blogs being posted again, so, why

                     not another not-so-serious poem?

About a sloth,

So now here's one

'Bout some random cat,

A cat lives solely

Only for themselves,

Amusement for their

Own, without a doubt,

Think they like you?

It's but a ruse!

A trick so you

Will always feed them,

They are masterminds

That are in control,

Like the kings of old

And gods upon thrones,

They like naps more,

Like when wooden

Floors were bathed

By the golden sun,

Fret not, however,

For they like you too,

Only if you give

Them their well-liked food,

They're quite skittish

When it comes to

Loving owners

And hating them too,

Such a paradox

Is their tiny minds,

Hate and love brought forth

From self-confusion,

But the cats have

With them wisdom,

They've been around

For godly aeons,

16th-century

Writers and all that,

Have also faced the

Wrath that is the cat,

Ancient Egypt

Has their fair share

Of royal cats

With gold upon them,

But no matter what,

A cat is a cat,

They're just as fickle

As youth's forlorn love,

So make no fuss,

There's nothing wrong

With a cat that

Hates and loves you so.
