This song is inspired by one of my own short stories which I call "Valueless"

the days I had carvings
And you would run out for an ice cream
In middle of the night?
And I know somewhat I was playing you with you
Knowing that they'll be broken I made promises
Knowing well enough what awaits
I took another step
So restlessly idiotic
Such an indecisive clown
You always made me laugh
Such a bliss was your touch
Such beauty had your heart
And when I was young
Maybe you're my prince in shining armour
For I lost my footing and I floated above the ground
On a cloud I was, my tears made it rain

Just looking at our footsteps
And the proof we left on the ground
Didn't mean to be heartless
Didn't mean to cause pain in your life
But it seems what I always want
I can have but can't hold on

Somewhere but don't know where

Don't know what the joke's about
But still my chest

Something's throbbing inside
Thoughts completely out of line

For I lost mine somewhere along the line.
