Listen to that autumn hymn

Filling the air with grace and song,

With lofty tones and hushed tongues

Of those who had been silenced once,

See the magic in the air

Scattered like the blushing leaves

Whose worth is seen near its end

When the curtains comes to a close,

Be enveloped by its spell

Revered as holy by the ghosts,

Magic only known to them,

Yet honoured, too, by mortal men,

Listen to that autumn hymn

Calling once again its magic,

Then watch as it meets the earth

That has become unfamiliar,

See the magic's residue

Travel along the breath of fall,

Hear their voices as whispers

Crying out all kinds of warnings,

Embrace the spell of autumn

That bewitches and captivates,

Revel in their silent songs

Brought up before as harvest prayers,

Listen to that autumn hymn

Filling the air with cries and pleas,

With truths that's been lost through time,

Spoken by forgotten voices,

Acknowledge the sorcery

Brought to life by autumn's wishes,

Of customs long forgotten,

Twisted into something untrue,

Watch as the magic tremble

Against the tyranny of time,

Of the damage it had caused,

Warping tradition and its rules,

Listen to that autumn hymn

With lyrics from an ancient tale

Woven into its being

As it carries some long lost curse.
