An Uncle’s Intuition

A funny little piece I wrote for an all dialogue assignment in another community.

This happens to be an awkward

texting conversation between my oc, Turiquin, and one of his two close uncles.

”So, I hear from your mom that you’ve gotten pretty involved with this college guy.

I want details.”

“You know how she exaggerates..”

“I still want details.

You’ve always gone for older, not younger.”

”What, are you keeping track..?

“Changes in pattern can mean.. things.”

”Seriously Uncle Josh..”

“Seriously. You aren’t getting any younger

Maybe he’s the one for you.

You’re a cougar.”

”I’m not that old, you geriatric.

He’s nine years younger, and I it I think he’s.. attractive.

And I’m a clouded leopard.. just like you.

Besides, cougars are women, right?”

“Matter of perspective, that last part.”

”Prick.

I’m not ever introducing him to you.”

“Oh, so you are serious! This is exciting!

It’d drive your mom nuts if I knew it was really serious before her. :D”

”It’s not serious! >.<

Yet..”

“So.. has he seen the secret?”

”Really..?

How old are you?

But, yes.. he knows.”

“You’re still talking to him.

It’s very serious.

AHAHAHAHA

The family kitten is growing up.

”Fine.

I’ve texted my mom though, so now you can’t gloat.

You’re still a prick.”
