Rakuyo, a hunter weapon wielded by Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower. This trick sword links and unlinks the single edged saber and dagger. Unlike most weapons crafted in Cainhurst, this weapon feeds not off blood but demands great dexterity.

Evelyn, a pistol crafted in Cainhurst and often wielded by Cainhurst Knights. A very elegant and mastercrafted pistol that relied more on bloodtinge.

♤Biography♤

Lady Maria was born a noble in the castle of Cainhurst, even being a distant relative of the Vileblood Queen herself. However, the life of a lavish Lady of Cainhurst was not one fate deemed for her as she eventually was one of the first to Gehrman upon the first hunts.

Being Gehrman's first student, she was trained rigorously and without respite, growing into a fierce and deadly hunter. During her training, she did ire Gehrman greatly for his skills and teachings but unaware of his mania towards her, which would eventually culminate in Gehrman's crafting of the Doll in her image.

At some point during her time as a Hunter, she would partake in the excursion by Byrgenwerth scholars to a very specific Fishing Hamlet due to the mutations going on there likely caused by the corpse of Kos, a Great One which had washed upon the shore.

This hunt took its toll upon the conscience of Maria due to the hunting and mutilation of villagers who were seemingly innocent of all this, having been in the wrong place and wrong time for this to happen. It had not been their fault Kos came upon their shores.

Next, Maria watched as her associates attempted to harvest the body of Kos for all if it was worth in blood and more. This was considered sacrilegious by the Great Ones, and it would lead to a curse which she would experience soon, for Maria threw her beloved Rakuyo down a well and left Gehrman and his Hunters.

Maria would fall into a depression, only serving now as an overseer of a Healing Church research facility, where it took even more of a toll on her as she bared witness to the cruelty of the church at its peak as they conducted human experiments on innocent people in an attempt to ascend as Great Ones. Lady Maria was the only comforting voice to these patients, but it was all for nothing as the majority of them went violently mad...

It was at this point that Maria could stomach life no longer. She would lock herself in the Astral Clocktower of the Research Facility.. sitting down in a single chair before killing herself.

But this was not the end. She would not awake in the Hunter's Dream like many Hunters do... no, the curse the Great Ones put on her for her participation in the sacrilege in the Fishing Hamlet caused her to awaken in the Hunter's Nightmare.. truly living her curse now as she saw Hunter's whi have gone mad, Heroes like Ludwig turned into abominations, the horrid Reseach Lab, and finally... the Fishing Hamlet. Doomed to see only the darkest aspect in life, hearing the cries of her name in the Research Facility. Once again, she locked herself in the Astral Clocktower, but this time only to guard the way to the Fishing Hamlet.. she would allow nobody else to repeat her mistakes and become cursed. In her eyes, she only cared for each and every person who tried to get past her.. killing hundreds upon hundreds of Hunters in her time in the Nightmare.

Whether a Hunter finally defeated her and ed to the Fishing Hamlet is left untold yet. And if she was killed by a Hunter who kills the Orphan of Kos, then is she to finally reawaken from the Nightmare? Those tales for now.. are left untold.
