Backstory:

Shade was once a boy hopeful to become a huntsman at Beacon academy. Growing up in the tough bad lands of Vacuo Shade leavened how to survive and became quite a swords master, Unfortunately one day a Grimm attacked his village and destroyed it all, when no huntsman came Shade was convinced that huntsman weren’t the hero’s they were made up to be he began to wander the world, leaving Vacuo and arriving in the city of Vale where he would dawn his signature black jacket, in Vale Shade would have an encounter with Roman Torchwick and Neo. He soon ed up with the pair. After working with them for awhile the group met Cinder Fall. He didn’t trust Cinder believing she was only using Roman, Neo and himself as pawns however was still loyal and stuck beside Roman and Neo.

After Roman’s death at the hands of a Grimm, Shade was devastated, all he found of his former partners was Roman’s cane Melodic Cudgel. He didn’t know Neo or Roman survived at first and spent month’s trying to figure out what happened searching everywhere,eventually blaming Cinder and white fang’s horrible planning as well as Ruby Rose for the fall of his two partners.

Soon enough he found Neo had survived, after Neo cleared up to him that Roman was truly dead, he decided to stay with Neo and work by her side fighting for her.

Strengths

Expert in hand to hand combat, expert in sword combat preferring to dual wield two swords, Shade loves coating his weapons in elemental dust to make the stronger, he sometimes uses fire dust although, after Roman’s death he learns how to use Melodic Cudgel if anything ever happens to his swords or if he has no choice but to take a ranged approach

Weaknesses

Is slightly worse in range combat, can be overpowered by stronger opponents, is quite confident and will often stay even if fighting a losing battle, will only make an escape if Neo or Roman call/sign for him to fall back
