Since after the last reset, the RPs main plot has been something that has been primarily ran and roleplay does by the staff and a small group of non s; the latter of which having only gotten involved either due to having their OCs being in the right place at the right time, or because they won a special role in an audition.

OCs with roles such as “Heaster”, “Maiden”, “Wizard Agent”, etcetera have been the only OCs who have had a constant involvement in the main plot, and I think it’s about time we make an effort to change that. The staff have decided that we should begin making a more active effort to get involved in the main plot instead of just leaving it to the lucky few.

This is not an audition. It wouldn’t be fair for me to say that we want more people involved if we have to actively limit them just like the Wizard Agents and Grimm Master Servants. It’s an offer, one with its own incentives and conditions. But let me first get to what exactly we are asking for first.

We need people to pick a side to fight for.

The Protagonists

Protagonists are OCs that are aligned with, either directly or loosely, the Wizard Elaine. Whilst they aren’t technically protagonists in the literal sense, as depending on which side you pick you may consider them antagonists, it should at least tell you that they are the “Good Guys”.

The Protagonists work with the Wizard directly or indirectly, some may not even know who or what the Wizard is but are still working towards the same goal regardless. Their main goal is to oppose the Grimm Master, to prevent them from obtaining the relics and the maidens, but another goal of theirs is to maintain the current “status quo” of Remnant. They seek to continue to hide the existence of the Grimm Master, of the Maidens and the Relics, and they constantly seek out the Maidens themselves in order to ensure the Relics remain secure and that the Maidens remain hidden. Basically, they’re traditionalists. But that’s a good thing. They do whatever they can to keep forbidden knowledge such as the Maidens and the existence of the Grimm Master hidden in order to prevent both widespread panic and to prevent Maidens from being hunted for their powers.

Whilst being the “Good Guys”, some of their may not be what you view as Good, more morally grey or perhaps straight up evil depending on how they go about achieving their goals. Naturally, OCs such as Wizard Agents and perhaps the Heasters and their professors will fall under this group. However other OCs may be added. OCs such as Hunstmen, perhaps some high ranking ones who have been clued in onto the existence of the Grimm Master or Silver Eyes Warriors who have been brought into the group because of their astounding Grimm killing abilities.

Be they good or bad, OCs who are part of this group will still either aid the Wizard achieve their goals or actively protect Remnant by hunting powerful Grimm, rooting out terrorists, and doing what they can to prevent wide spread panic from occurring.

The Antagonists

This may surprise some of you, but the Antagonists are not d with the Grimm Master. Because of inactivity issues, a lack of want to strip Evan of his Grimm Master role, and a desire to try something a bit different (mainly to continue what we have already been doing), the Antagonists are OCs that have aligned themselves with the Atlas Supreme General Adamaris and the remnants of an old terrorist organisation that she secretly leads, the Agents of Calamity. They are the “Bad Guys”.

Like the Protagonists the Antagonists still oppose the Grimm Master, however their goals differ. They oppose the current status quo and seek to change it by not only gathering up the Maidens, but to also gather up the relics with the intention of making full use of their powers for the benefit of Humanity. They intend to one day reveal the existence of the Grimm Master to Remnant, and to prevent panic by using both the Relics and the Maidens to inflict such mayhem onto the Grimm that people won’t be as fearful of them; going off the logic that a series of great victories would prevent global panic. To do this, however, they also seek to eradicate the independence of Hunstmen and Huntresses, and to unite all four kingdoms if possible.

They have gone about slowly fulfilling these goal through... less then agreeable means. They are entirely responsible for the destruction of Beacon Academy, done purely to further turn the Valian people against Hunstmen by embarrassing them and making them appear incompetent. They also seek to hinder and outright sabotage the governments and militaries of Remnant, with the exception of Atlas and, recently, Vacuo.

Because they intend to actually make use of the powers of the Maidens and the Relics instead of hiding them and to destroy the independence of Hunstmen, to the point of outright destroying their academies, this puts them in opposition with the Protagonists. Their “Ends justifies the means” mindset also makes them unpopular in general, so morally good characters will have difficulties getting along with them. Whilst they are the “Bad Guys”, a lot of them may not be entirely evil and, like the “Good Guys”, may be morally grey or perhaps morally good.

Because of their willingness to reveal the existence of all that juicy forbidden knowledge, more of their actually know what they are fighting for.

——————————————————————

Both the Protagonists and Antagonists have only just recently gotten into conflict, with the Protagonists currently being at a massive disadvantage. The Protagonists know very little about their opposition, knowing that they are connected to A.S and that their leader is a Maiden. The opposite is true for the Antagonists, who know about the Wizard, their Agents, and who would them due to Adamaris being considered a part of the Wizard’s Circle. The Protagonists don’t know that Ada is leading the Agents of Calamity.

Whilst there has been very little if any conflict between the two groups since the destruction of Beacon, that will change very soon. To prepare for that change, both sides need to them.

We want you to pick a side, either with Elaine or Adamaris, and as a reward for choosing you will be given an OC slot. But there are conditions you must fulfil.

When you pick a side, you can decide to attach an already existing OC to that slot or create a brand new one; which some of you may need to do if your OCs don’t fit either side.

OCs ing Elaine could really be anything, as that side appears to have more options at the expense of some OCs perhaps not being enlightened on the existence of the Grimm Master and whatnot. These OCs can range from prodigal Academy Students to high ranking Hunstmen angered by the Antagonists’ methods.

OCs that Adamaris have less variety, largely composed of OCs who are Agents of Calamity, of A.S Remnants, or generally anyone either connected to A.S or those who have managed to gain Ada’s trust. It should be noted that this does not include the Atlesian Military, as it is both too large and too public an organisation to them. Ada may be their General, but her and the Military’s involvement with the Antagonists need to remain hidden.

So you don’t need to worry about an actual war going on.

of either side don’t need to be super skilled fighters. Some may be sneaky rouges, people holding influential positions in the government or military, or intelligent tacticians and scientists. Some of them, on both sides, may be Silver Eyed Warriors whose purpose is to destroy Grimm. The same is true for the Agents of Calamity.

You can only pick one side, and you will be expected to take part in anything either side may do, such as attacking an academy or being there to defend it. Not taking part in whatever actions either side may take, with the exception of those whose OCs have been explicitly kept out of for whatever in rp reason, can and will lead to us taking away the free slot you have been offered.

And whilst this is not an audition, with no real limit on how many OCs can be used for this, we do have the right to deny certain OCs from ing. This may be due to you already having an OC involved in the main plot (looking at other staff and some of the older here) or simply because the OC has inadequate reason to either side.

Depending on how things go for this, the staff may vote on preventing anymore OCs from ing a particular side. This may happen if one side gets a disproportionate level of . We will consider both the number of OCs on one side and their strength. But overall, we want both sides to at least have a handful of OCs. Enough so a side can actually do something without one person having to use multiple OCs or NPCs.

Again, already existing OCs can be given to one side as long as it makes sense. Additionally, I will allow for three new Silver Eyes Warrior OCs to be made for this. But don’t just make one for the sake of having one. I actually recommend not making one, since not a lot of Grimm are not going to be fought unless someone is willing to RP Grimm reacting to panic caused by a terrorist attack.

You will need to comment on this post if you actually want to apply for this role, regardless of whether or not you have a completed OC for it. The OC that will take up the slot offered by this post will need to be linked in the comments as well.

And that’s all for now. The leaders of both sides (Me and Cho ) will have the finally say on whether not an OC can their side or not. But generally, as long as you explain why your OC should be on a particular side and as long as it actually makes logical sense it will most likely be allowed.

That is all. Have fun.
