This poll is pretty important, as the title would say, and it has to do with the main plot.
It's pretty simple, is the main plot fun?
Several have complained about the main plot a lot recently. The most common complaints being that it started too sudden and quick (with Vacuo falling to Grimm almost instantly) and that it will be difficult for people without any important OCs to get involved, that it would just mainly be large battles between NPCs with barely any OC involvement.
I want you all to be both careful and honest with your votes as this is a pretty important thing.
Keep in mind that votes made by who have not roleplayed at all on this amino will not be counted.

I like the plotline possibilities just as Cho has said, so in my opinion as a roleplayer who was part of the attack on Shade, I can whole heartedly agree with many of the points Cho made. It felt like it was too straightforward and almost entirely pre planned, and even in the Krasnyy pm chat we didnt do much planning on the assualt as we should have. Imo, the pre-planning feeling is because of what i interpret as an almost completely meta response to the encounters.
The way we played it was electric between the parties involved, but stagnated and didnt allow for others to interact with the situation because of the seemingly instantaneous arrival Atlas military that shuttled everyone away, set up choke points and heavy artillery and defences. This kind of instant response time from characters in power is a commom theme i see in many plot points and situations that happen in the rp, especially when are taking part in the plot points.
From the serial murderer who showed up in Shade a while back to things like Connie's current situation of being trapped under a building. I have characters all over who are able to have legitimate story reasons for interaction with a plotpoint or storyline, even in entirely public areas irp, but i have had experiences of being (again, IMO) meta denied or the momentum of the encounter stalls to a halt and locks any player from participating or succeeding in the encounter.
An example fresh in my mind is the airship that crashed in Vacuo's desert, an air carrier of some kind surrounded by grimm and sending out a distress call. My character Chin Ichi and his team wanted to respond to the call, my character being able to pick up the emergency signal via his satellite radio. We roleplayed our way to boarding an airship before the shade heistress made the call to ground all flights in Vacuo, out-of-character saying that it is what any competent proffessor would do in response to a signal like that. Even after trying to appeal to continue the current course of action, then being denied after making moves to pursue the same goal of going to the airship in the desert through different means, we were seemingly instantly meta denied irp.
In so many ways, i find that kind of response difficult to agree with, but the only real problem i had with it was that no one was given any wiggle room to act in that rp situation.
Now that is a single example, and i know it is one of very few i personally . But, my interpreted connection between these examples, the airship distress call and the Fall of Shade, is this:

I think Cho would be a good leader of it, and i always appreciate Einar's input so if he wouldnt mind lending his ear every once in a while it could go well i think.

Just like I said to Cho, I love you for making all those points and explaining them. Thank you.
Anyways, I do plan on trying to fix these problems. Most of the time OCs have been prevented from doing things because they say it makes sense for them to be stopped, or people are either trying to prevent OCs from getting killed or people just don't want other people getting involved. I agree with your points and would love to have you as a WoR Guide, a little group a made up to help get this Amino more things to do in RP but so far it's been kind of inactive both due to me being just elsewhere and lack of initiative in its current .
Also, Atlas already had troops in Vacuo before the attack protecting the CCTs, but only a small amount. Sorry if that had caused confusion and annoyance.

Ooooh see i was so unclear as to why Atlas would be there already hahaha
No opinion
So while I like the plot in itself with all its chaos I feel like when the event happened it became far to railroad and smooth. Everything went almost as pre made plan. It was somewhat hard to do something unless you had specific sort of character. I did try to do something and if u hadn’t used the npc to stop me I feel like my action could have railroaded something important and well that feelings isn’t good. Also if we take a look at the fall of beacon there are a few thing that we could learn from it, one the chaotic element. During the fall of beacon a shit time of different things happened and the Stu tends where actually involved and forced into fights. In a fall event I feel like the student should play a big role after all most characters in the rp are students. Second while surprise attacks are cool and all it’s also good to get connections between the bad guys and the students. In the fall for example there was a lot of pre planing done by the bad guys that the heroes could interact with. Things like that could be useful and if we had it I don’t think it pointed out to well.

On other hand while people complain that they couldn’t do much I didn’t see to many keep trying

Because a lot of them were too busy complaining about how they didn't like it.
i didnt vote, but if i may express my view: i had 0 idea what, if anything was going on. I didnt know where it was happening, what exactly was happening, or anything. It seemed impossible to understand anything that was going on. It should maybe slow down a bit

nah its ok. i just wish 1) BOLD wasn't having internal drama (That I personally accidentally caused) so we could help and 2) i had gotten here sooner to help.

Team BOLD would be way out of their own league if they were able to help.
Reply to: Einar
team BOLD isn't even being a team rn so it doesn't matter. Once my other one is ready, that's gonna be a lot of fun to watch
You can ignore my vote if you dont think I have a say in it. I didnt do anything to do with the main plot. But that's the reason why I didnt exactly do it. I COULDNT have anything to do with any of it really. I feel that it was in too specific of a place so most people kinda just had to watch. This is problably cuz my ocs cant go anywhere. But as for the main plot in general I dont even what it was or what it is now. I have NO clue what it is in every way shape and form.
You do have a say. Why would I think otherwise?
Reply to: Einar
Well I cant exactly say something's good or bad unless I try it right? That's why I was a bit iffy about that vote is all

Ah.
Anyone can still have a say in this really even if they were not involved. But for those people it's if they think it will be fun or not based off what they had seen. If you want you could go ask peoples opinions if you want more info.
