Senior bettas are best :hearts:
That’s a very old betta you must be very good at taking care of bettas
Also water lettuce is used in his tank, helps absorb nitrates
hey do you have like the most recent pic of cooper?

Yea that is it^^^
Ok so let’s begin
1. Tank size, at first I had a one gallon drum bowl but after about a month he was so “dead looking” I then upgraded to a 5 gallon with a filter and heater and then 3 years later moved him into a 3.5 gallon retirement tank where he remains today. Filters and heaters are CRUTIAL
2. Diet. At first I followed the “stomach the size of the eye” rule, he got super skinny and really tired all the time. Now I feed him four zoo-med pellets a day, soak for about 5 mins before feeding. Once a week feed live bloodworms or mosquito larvae. Don’t feed for 1 or 2 days a week.
3. Water changes, do 20-30% a week and change the filter bag once a month. Add aquarium salt because it has a lot of benifits.
4. Ect. temps at about 80 are best. Leave light off for at LEAST 10 - 12 hours, (I leave mine off 14.) the tank mates I have had all been invertebrates (shrimps, snails, ect.) and I have never had any issue with any disease other than fin rot so I can’t help u with that, sry :/
Hope all this helped
