This is Tom Nook, or Tom for short.
I got him at the beginning of this year.
He’s not as pretty as Julius was but he has a wonderful and active personality!! (He sits right next to my computer and watches me play games)
His tank was originally supposed to be a black water tank but that didn’t work very well for me as the natural decor I added got all goopy and gross. Because I was originally doing a black water tank, I wanted a white betta but when I got to the pet store they didn’t have anymore white baby bettas(pet store employees told me that everyone was buying bettas because of quarantine.. hope they are being well taken care of!)
His tank is made of plastic so I can’t scrape the glass with a razor blade like my other one :(
That’s why it’s all dirty. If anyone knows a good way to clean it let me know! I just tried wiping it off with a paper towel but that didn’t work.

You could try using a sponge. If all else fails you may have to temporarily transfer him to another tank and use something stronger to clean it with like a vinegar solution

Ooh, i like the natural coloration he has, very clean, reminds me of the wild bettas :heart_eyes:
I would not be able to survive with that dirty glass :sweat_smile: would drive me insane. And do u have a nerite? I see evidence of a female :joy: or at least i think i do...
I am also amazed how many bettas are sold because of quarantine. Went to maybe 5-6 petcos and petsmarts this weekend, along with a few local fish stores, and the betta section was soo picked over. Only found one that had a good selection, which so happened to be the same place I got Sushi :joy:
I hope you figure out a way to clean the glass/plastic! Maybe itd be worth the few scratches from cleaning?

Yeah, thought it was the eggs :joy: wasn't sure though. Also, coral does not lower the pH, it raises it :ok_hand:
