Unfortunately, my last rescue, Odahviing, has ed away.

Dropsy has ended the life of another legend this year. My first real dropsy case, and it took one of my favorite boys. :pensive:

He was such a gorgeous little guy, and such a fighter too. His attitude was that of a thousand soldiers. He was my only betta that would flare (when I wanted him to, anyway) and I’m going to miss that ferociousness so much. His colors were simply amazing as well, I was so proud to be able to say that he was mine!

Like Durnehviir and Sahrotaar, he was a rescue that I got last winter (2018) who had shared an undivided 20 gallon with two other bettas. The tank hadn’t been cleaned in over two years, and the previous owner was just going to kill them if no one else wanted them. I’m surprised he lived though all of that, but I’m glad he did so I was able to give him a good life for a year!

Rest easy Odahviing, I hope we are able to meet again one day!
