I’m getting mixed answers about this so I’d figure I’d ask this amino

Is there any fish I can keep with a betta fish in a 10 gal tank?

The tank is heated and filtered

Thanks!

Corydoras, Shrimp, or snails. Not much else due to them either needing a larger school / being the same size as the betta which can cause problems for more territorial ones

I keep 5 corys with with one of my bettas, in a 11 gallon. And a female in a 22g community. It works well for me. It’s up to you to decide how friendly your betta is tho. I have kept all my bettas with other fish or shrimp without issue.

From what I know different types of bettas can be known for being less or more aggressive,u can google it. then of course all bettas have different personalities. Personally I’d not recommend tetras in a 10g as tetras like to be many and it to small of a tank to go with a betta. Maybe try some type of bottom feeders?

I agree with flame or Mabey some shrimp too but other than that no other fish I like having at least 20 gallons for other fish in with a betta. You could possibly get away with having like some small cardinal tetras like 6 but idk tetras can be nippy I have some but In a 20 gallon so they can have a lot more space for schooling etc.

Thanks so much! I was thinking about snails the most. If I got two different species of snails they wouldn’t be able to mate right? (Not asexual snails)
