I’ve kind of been putting off posting about this little dude because when I got him his water was ice cold and he wasn’t packaged very well. His gills were super red he was very underweight and he just looked sick. He had this white film over his eyes and head but no where else on his body and I just wasn’t sure he would make it. I’ve had him almost a week now and he’s doing pretty well he’s not scared of anything and he’s kinda a diva and only likes mysis shrimp and blood worms. So I’m hoping that helps him gain weight and his gills aren’t as red I think the tannins and having warm water is helping. His name is Nemesis and his nick name is Lil Nem. He has a deformity and his ventral fins are on one side one is useless he can’t move it at all. Due to this I got him at a discount. I think he’s out of the woods since he’s acting like a betta now so I thought I might show him off!
NOTE: the tank is temporary and the pine cone is an alder cone which releases tannins. His tank is fully heated and monitored.
