I took this video to show someone how laser pointers can offer great stimulation for your betta and I figured it would be worth sharing publicly! This video features Naydra, though all of my boys have shown interest in the laser pointer. I prefer using it over methods like mirrors and flaring and always suggest it instead as I feel it promotes more natrual behaviour and interest without causing stress. Flaring is fine on occasion and for young/sick fish can help promote even fin growth and stretch out fins when there's been severe damage and melting but you should always seek to provide your intelligent little fish with plenty of other options of stimulation and laser pointers, I feel, are a fantastic option that most people dont even realize can be utalized! I find this can be a fun way for guests or perhaps younger of the family to interact with your fish as well and show them just how interesting and adorable they can be. My partners dad absolutely loved playing with the fish with the laser pointer when he came to visit and i know many keepers have young siblings or children of their own so it may be something to consider allowing them to experience as a safe and fun way of interacting with your fish. I encourage you all to give it a shot and see if it works for you and your betta!

Adorable :joy: :joy:
That is one loud filter
Its actually not the filter! Thats primarily the heating unit/fan in our little apartment thats quite loud. The water noises you hear are from the waterfall dish we use for the dogs and cat too. My entire rack is on sponge filters and runs off of one air pump, its actually rather quiet on its own, just your average gentle humming.
