Let this new decade be full of love, self growth, and happiness :revolving_hearts:
That said, let's look back to July 2019 when I first decided to get a betta.
In July, I spent many days reading about cycling tanks, pros and cons of different filters, and whether I should have live or silk plants. I made a whole supply list as well as a whole care guide for a betta.

I'm really proud of how my first betta tank turned out

On August 11th, Kai unexpected arrived in America a few weeks early. His first month with me was quite a journey as many of you guys know. He has grown up really well, turning from this young boy

into this young man.
On September 20th, I got my second betta, Moonlight. I was at my lfs to buy some more plants for my divided tank, and I noticed two rosetail bettas. I took both of them home that very night. Unfortunately Moonlight's brother ed away the next morning, but I was able to treat Moonlight back to health with the help of our wonderful medical team :revolving_hearts:

I decorated his tank with tons of anubias and silk hammocks if he needed to rest.

He loved swimming up to the front whenever I entered the room

Due his brother's early death, I had an empty section in my divided tank. I was able to get Toto from Splendid Betta.

Toto arrived on September 25th, and man he was a big boi. He really didn't do well in the divided tank, and he lost all the scales on his head from trying to jump over the divider despite him hitting his head on the glass lid.

Because of his aggression, Toto moved into Kai's 10 gallon and Kai moved into the the empty divided section.

Toto is doing very well today as you can see from the huge bubble nest he made a few days ago.
After 2 weeks of having Moonlight, he started showing signs of having a hard time swimming so I moved him into my 2.5 hospital tank.

Again since I had an empty divided section, I decided to buy Ren from another lfs on October 4th.

He gave me quite the scare one morning when I thought he got beached on an Indian almond leaf, but in reality, he was just sleeping

This is his and Kai's divided tank.

On November 30th, I was at petco with my mom to buy her a mystery snail, and I couldn't help it. I bought a 5.5 gallon and my mom got me another betta. It was an Fish-in cycle since I was so impulsive, but I had 4 cycled tanks to help speed up the process.

As many of you know, my university unplugged my aquarium lights and filters during Thanksgiving break. That was a disaster, and I am still recovering from the loss of $300 worth of live plants.

It's been a crazy 4 months, but I really thank BKA for helping me out. I did a lot of research before getting bettas, but BKA really helped me grow more as a Betta keeper.
Thank you for reading this crazy long post. I hope everyone who reads this post will have a wonderful new year.

I love this!! So clean!
Dang... I knew you had a lot of fish but I didn't know it was THAT many. Don't forget to focus on school too. I know you love your "babies", but you won't be able to afford their carebif you dont study hard.
Happy new year! Wish you the best of 2020 :)
