I probably shouldn't be as exited about this as I am, but this is my little guy's, Skipper's, first bubble nest since I've had him (a little over a month).

I have never been more proud of any of the fish I have kept before this. Though now my family officially thinks I'm nuts for freaking out over my fish making bubbles, they just don't understand.

Some ppl just dont understand the joys of fishkeeping. I have never really cared for plants until I got some for my betta tank, and when they started growing leaves i started freaking out and sending pics of it to everyone :joy: :joy:

Yeah  , they are fired clay balls. I originally added them to my very first heavily planted tank thinking it would help since I use them a lot with my other terrestrial plants. I thought they would sink after being soaked for awhile like driftwood. Some of them do, some of them don't. I never actually took them out since I noticed my fish like to hid under them and the snails and shrimp will climb on them. Sometimes I see Skipper pushing them around or chasing them while they drift. I've have been adding some of them from old tanks to the new ones since I figured they are very pourous and will have a bit of benificial bacteria on them.
