I've had Indigo (I know, creative name..) for about a year now. My friend gave it to me very suddenly, so I don't know some information about him, like his age, medical history, etc.

Staring at his reflection

He's mostly a magenta color, and when the light hits him pink and blue areas are visible. I think he's really beautiful, and I'm happy to have him ^-^

He did get fin rot a while back, but I treated it and it seems like it hasn't come back. He got really stressed when that happened and once I walked by and he hit the side of the tank really quickly and a bump formed and his side  I thought it could be a problem but he seems fine. I have tried fasting him (I have no idea why I thought that would help) but it hasn't gone away. It has shrunk in size compared to when he first got it though

Excuse the sides of the tank, I haven't scrubbed off all of the algae yet.

Anyway, do you guys see any problems? I'm not really an experienced fish keeper, so if I'm doing anything wrong I would appreciate the :)

Well ^.^ I can tell you his tail type :P He is a veiltail. As for his tank, 2.5 gallons, heated and filtered is ideal for bettas :).
