About Ares

Ares has a sweet personality. He is very curious and outgoing. He can have attitude, but only with any fish in his tank that he doesn’t know. He also likes to hog attention. I’ve had him since December 28, 2020!

How I chose Ares is actually a sad story. I had ordered three bettas while I was in basic training and the seller I bought from was actually willing to hold them until I went home for Christmas. Maybe a couple months later, he lost power in his house and lost half of his fish, including three that I bought. The seller was willing to let me pick out three new bettas, so I picked Ares out around October. I was excited to get him and I’m sorry that my males before didn’t make it, but I’m glad I got this beautiful boy.

I haven’t fed him much variety, but he seems to like his bug bites. My favorite memory of him is recent. I was laying across my bed on FaceTime and this boy was doing anything and everything to get my attention. I show my friend and he just laughs. It was the cutest thing to ever see.

Fun fact : He and his brother both hate their filters, but love their hidey holes. He also loves hiding under the roots of the plant in his tank.
