Previously on Batman - The Killing Stroke Of A Dead Bird

It's an unusually quiet and silent night in Gotham City. Not a single Gothamite is out on the streets. Not even a single one of Gotham's occasional ordinary grafity artists is out tagging. Not even to at least tag on a pointless object such as a dumpster or trash can. And then the silence is broken with Gotham's Police Commissioner James Gordon getting shot and killed by a sniper while meeting up with Gotham's Dark Vigilanti and also Gotham's former 1st Boywonder who's now known as Nightwing of BludHaven. The two take cover but not before The Dark Knight himself takes one to the shoulder.

The former Dynamic Duo encounter Gotham City's most deadly and skilled assasin known as Deathstroke who reveals that he's taken up another contract once again to eliminate the Batman by any means necessary then makes his escape.

Batman and Nightwing are in the Batcave dicussing their encounter with Deathstroke while the loyal Wayne family butler Alfred Pennyworth provides medical attention to Bruce Wayne's bullet wound to the shoulder and then blacks out suddenly and then becomes unresponsive.

Sunday - April 2nd

07:15 am

"Oracle what is it? What's on that bullet?", Dick asks very demandingly.

"Well it's not bad but it's also really not good either." Stated Oracle.

"Just tell me Oracle! I need to know immediately!", Demanded Dick, as he's standing over the Batcomputer's very large keyboard and staring up at the large high tech hallowgraghic screen displaying Oracles picture with her smilling with her eye glasses on, along with a headset on with a microphone.

"Okay! Okay.., take a breath boy wonder." Teases Oracle in a sarcastically and annoyed tone.

"Oracle!!" Snapped Dick Grayson.

"Sorry, sorry... I know.. my bad. Not the time. I know.", apologized Oracle. "Alright, now about the bullet annalylisis, there's some heavy dosed drug that I'm not familiar with at all. And i know what you're already going to ask and the answer is no. It's not one of Scarecrow's new fear toxin drugs.", Oracle said reportedly.

"Then what?", asked Dick confused.

The Scene snaps to Oracle's place with her in her wheel chair as she wheels over to her desk in her bedroom that has a computer secretly built with extra hallowgraghic screens and extra hallowgraghic keyboards that display out of a hardly noticible lens on the sides and bottom of the monitor her ordinary looking computer given to her by Bruce Wayne built by Wayne Tech.

"Hang on just a sec, I'm going to look into it further right now." Oracle states.

"Computer on! Security code: Operation: save a Bat.", Commanded Oracle.

"Securiry code confirmed!", said Oracles computer.

The computer turns on and the hollowgraghic screens and keyboard apear with the bullet's annalysis on screen with the pic of the bullet slowly spinning.

"Okay i'm breaking down the components of this drug right now and it looks like to be a heavy dosed seditive meant to knock him out for weeks upon weeks. How many is not clear at the moment but I will continue working on this annalysis and find out more. I will also keep you updated" , Oracle stated. "In the mean time you're just going to have to take over for bruce.", Explained Oracle.

"What?!", shouted Dick in anger. You're joking right?", attacked Dick. "You cannot be serious!" Complained Dick as he then realizes that Oracle is literally serious. "Oh god... you are serious.", realized Dick. "Barbaraaa!", begged Dick. "You know how i feel about taking up his mantal. You already know how i feel about his methods! I don't want to be him! I don't want to be anything like him! I won't! I refuse to be this coldhearted vigilante that he is!", attacked Dick.

"Richard Grayson!! Stop it!", Oracle snapped at Dick. "What are you, Jason Todd?!", scolded Oracle.

"This is not up for debate! There are times where Gotham needs a Batman and not a cocky hot headed Nightwing formally known as the first boy wonder that the Gotham police force will NOT take seriously or trust the job will get done with results.", lectured an annoyed Oracle. "And this is one of those times literally right now!", Oracle continued.

"Okay, okay! I get it! Sheesh!" Said Dick annoyed.

"And this one of those times!", Dick mimicked Oracle.

"I heard that! I'm right here you know and i can hear everything you're saying!", Oracle snapped.

"Ugh once a boy wonder always a boy wonder apparently i guess it is with you.", complained Oracle.

"What was that?!", Dick furiously asked Oracle.

"Honestly Dick! What the hell is wrong with you tonight?! Why you acting such like your younger boy wonder self?! I thought you wanted to grow away from that crap?", scolded Oracle. "You're the one who wanted to be in this kind of field of work. No one forced you into this kind of line of work! That was all on your behalf! You made that choice out of personal need for revenge for what happened to you and your family. When you finally got justice for your family you made the choice to be the boy wonder and came up with your own name. It was your choice to stay and fight along side Bruce, Dick. No one made you stay. You made that choice. As i recall Bruce didn't like the idea of bringing you into his dark and cold world of nightly crime fighting ay such a young age but he took you along beside his anyways because he saw something in you! He saw your full pottential. Hell he even adopted you as his own and raised you as his own out of the kindness of his heart because you went through a simililar tragedy he went through at your young age because he cared! And your way of showing gratitude for what he did for you is to throw a pissy fit one night over his tactics of his life long career that he's dedicated his life to for the fight of Gotham that you've seen him use night after night after night when you fought along side him for years as Robin. So I'd like to know what made you throw a temper tantrum that night and just leave him in the middle of a DAMN investigation?!" , Shouted Oracle out of frusturation.

"You could never understand Barbara!", retaliated Dick.

"WHAT IS THERE TO UNDERSTAND?!!", backlashed Oracle. "I understand plenty! One thing is for sure, you sure as hell have earned your name, DICK! And another thing is you sure as hell have a real gratitude problem! And thing you sure as hell don't seem to get is that you owe him this favor. BIG TIME." Oracle retaliated.

Dick stands there silently, rubbing the back of his neck unable to think of how to argue with that statement "Now do you get it?", Oracle asked in a firm tone

"Ye-yeah, yeah, i guess you have a valid point there. I can't argue with that, I guess. Dick looks up with a confident and redeemed look in his eyes."So where do we start?", asked Dick
