the rose: discovery —

this is the picture that started it all lmao so i had heard about the rose prior to encountering this photo. like, on kpop confessions saying "omg stan the rose pls they're so underrated" and they were on my 'go-check-out-this-group' list for the longest time. unfortunately, i never really got the motivation to do it until sometime in late july of this year, i was scrolling through instagram and that picture popped up on my feed and i was like "whOMST are these fine-looking men ??" i found out that they were the rose and suddenly, i find myself searching on yt 'the rose unhelpful guide'.

the rose: adoration —

ah there are so many aspects about the band and that i love ♡ first off, their entire discorgraphy slaps like there are no skips in their tracklist. each song has its purpose and meaning, which i really respect as everyone partakes in the process of writing their immaculate lyrics and composition. the talent in which they can weave a storyline through each of their mini-albums and make it appear like a novel in my brain is simply awe-inspiring. and each individual in the band contributes a different personality; like varying colours in a rose meadow ( why am i getting poetic — ). i'm sure this blog would go on until forevermore if i listed out all of them, so to summarise, woosung, dojoon, hajoon, and jaehyeong are all wonderful, skilled, and loving people that i cannot help to ire.

the rose: bias —

lee jaehyeong aka the bassist of the rose aka the most impeccable person in this universe is my bias ! not to say that i don't love every member, but jaehyeong instantly stuck out to me and wrecked my entire bias list ( sorry jk and ty still love you ♡ ). i mean, i even gave him a nickname: allegro, which i will not go in depth here cause this blog is already going to be too long anyways :" but in general, i just love this man probably way too much ( i'm in a dilemma as he'll be eight years older than me next month :") ).

facts about me —

I. i've played the violin for seven years and counting.

II. writing and drawing are my main hobbies ( i'll probably post more fanarts, but if there's ever a writing challenge or something on here, i'll definitely partake in it ! ).

III. i've had eleven years of spanish, which should make me fluent, but honestly, listening/reading are the only things i comprehend. i cannot speak it for the life of me :"

IV. i've been a fan of korean music since 2015 ( which gives me no excuse for not checking out the rose's debut, but i think in 2017, nct was my main focus, so rip ). exo, nct, and ateez are the other groups i stan, but i listen to others like bts, svt, rv and so on !

V. my favourite songs by the rose are like we used to, candy ( so good ), baby, i don't know you, and strangers ( it's an ost but my god is it amazing. highkey hope they do a dark comeback in the future ).
