《Progress》

Bon and I split the work in two: We collaborated on designs for the three arrancar we chose for this challenge, Grimmjow, Ulquiorra and Szayel. I sketched out the poses which Bon did the lineart on, and after that it was my turn again to colour.

Originally we wanted to have a little bit of fun with the designs, and looked up references of suits and outfits worn by i.e. performers at the festival. In a matter of days Bon came up with great designs we both liked a lot, and so the collaboration really started out.

Personally, the colours were the hardest thing for me in this challenge. I tried out a shading style I never have used before and made each character have separate colour palettes, which took me roughly over 7 hours over the span of two weeks.

But all in all, this challenge has given us two the chance to try new things out and experiment with new techniques and artstyles, and because of that I think we did quite well!
