Fire, Earth, Both

Chronologically, this was my second time drawing Wu, but it’s the first piece with him that I colored.

Per usual, it all started in a pencil sketch. The idea behind this piece was to do something just generally cute with Mako, Wu, and my OC Rina. So, they’re all posed close together, and Wu’s getting a little forehead kiss. I do a lot of dramatic or serious poses so it was a challenge to go for nice and cozy.

The line art was finished off by setting the piece with archival ink. The pencil marks were erased to leave the lines like this.

The last step was to bring out the copic sketch set. This was my first time coloring Wu, so he has to have his color code created. I wrote it down and while I think I’ll make a few adjustments next time, for the first guess, I was fairly happy with it.

Rina is wearing a new outfit so her dress got a new color key, too.

Mako’s detective uniform got a little darker from the last time I colored it in. I think it’s more accurate this way.
