Chapter 49: The Spirit Song Grotto

Hey everyone, I’m back with the recap of the latest chapter. I had to give this one another listen because a lot happened, so let’s get into!

First off, I’m really started to like Team Spirit World. I know crazy, a group where there’s not one but two Tophs is entertaining XD. What I like about this story in general there isn’t one “villain” struggling with what’s right and what’s wrong, and one that I didn’t even consider was Yue. It sounds like they’re going to look for the mother of faces next, so looking forward to that.

Next we got a lot of info on Sokka’s lineage. The reveal that Sedna had was his great great grandmother, still alive, and was keeping his mother and others alive the whole time was a lot to take in. I do like that it added some finality his redemption, and I like that he finally acknowledged “other Sokka.”

Finally, I’m still not sure how I feel about the plot of Azula and Katara running off on their own. Hopefully we get more on that plot line next week, but as of now it feels like there’s a lot of different groups to keep track of. Hopefully things start to come together soon!
