ATLA and TMNT Crossover?

Hey Avatar Fans!

HighSokka here posting my first blog here and to some this might actually be a pretty weird one.

So I was thinking the other day, if ATLA were ever to come back to Nickelodeon, NOT reruns but an actual comeback, a return..........how would it be like?

And I figured I would try to take a more interesting approach on this by turning this idea into a crossover of two shows (One that isn't Korra, as cool as it would be, I want a DIFFERENT show), since Nickelodeon tends to make Crossovers of their shows and they are never not cool!

But then I thought....which Nickelodeon show that aired not too long ago that has the same tone and style as Avatar could crossover with it and not be a complete mess......and then I finally came up with one (IT'S NOT KORRA).....but I will have to explain it :

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012)

Some of you might be going like....

"BRUH! WTF IS DIS!?"

But I'll explain why ATLA having a Crossover with TMNT 2012 isn't such a bad idea.

WHY A ATLA AND TMNT CROSSOVER WOULD WORK

The way both of these shows handle their storytelling, character development and jokes are oddly similar. Avatar has a clear main plot about ending the 100 year old and Aang having to learn all 4 elements but there is also a bunch of side-stories sprinkled in and a couple of fun filler episodes.

TMNT also does that. It also has a clear main plot each Season but there is always a side-story and filler episodes which are really fun.

Both of these shows are also very Character Focused and get the characterization for most of it's characters right on point, we watch them make mistakes, learn from them and grow.

PLUS, they both use this Anime-ish expressions on the Characters' faces when they are reacting to something, to make their reactions more exaggerated and funny to some audiences, so if this happened in the Crossover it wouldn't be weird cause both shows do that.

So yeah, both shows are praised by fans and while they tell COMPLETELY DIFFERENT stories, they do have the same tone and a similar style of Storytelling in the show....(an example being of how the Heroes lose a lot throughout the show only to have a satisfying victory in the finale).

Yes I know we've already seen some of them in 3D in the games.

But I mean without it being a game but in a show instead, how cool would it be to see the ATLA Characters use their bending and fight in 3D!

It would be similar to how Nickelodeon did the Fairly OddParents and Jimmy Neutron Crossover where we'd see the Characters be in 3D in one world and in 2D in another. Kind of like this :

OKAY SO HEAR ME OUT, What if......when The Turtles enter the Avatar World, something happens to the Turtles (cuz of the Spirits or something) that makes them be able to BEND in this World.

So each Turtle is able to bend one Element and Team Avatar teaches them how to use it, and with all of the Character Interactions and stuff, HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE!

I don't actually have a story idea in mind but considering that we're talking about the World of Avatar and the World of TMNT, a lot of cool shit could happen.

Like the Turtles could try to help Team Avatar stop a new enemy or even a Zuko that is making poor choices as the Fire Lord for that matter (like in the comics) and they end up having to go to the Fire Nation or in the Spirit World.

Or Team Avatar has to help the Turtles defeat the Kraang (who are some of the main bad guys in TMNT) and they end up having to go to Dimension X which is another Universe for the Kraang.

And bro, the Character Interactions would be a joy to watch :

• Seeing Leo and Katara relate to each other over how they're not taken seriously cause they are so bossy all the time

• Seeing Raph and Zuko talk about how their Anger has led them to some Dark times

• Seeing Sokka and Donnie build something and be Smart together

• Seeing Aang say something wise or give an advice to Leo

• Seeing Toph and Raph making Sarcastic remarks on the others

• Seeing Aang and Mikey goof around and play around

• Seeing Leo give Sokka some tips on how to be a Great Leader

• Seeing Sokka and Mikey eat food like Crazy!

And I can go on....!

And yeah, this is for the most part why I think there should be a TMNT and ATLA Crossover

Granted I know that the chances of this happening are fairly low since both shows have already ended the Franchise has moved on to new reboots and stuff.

But if Nickelodeon ever does want to bring ATLA back just for a Crossover Event with another Nickelodeon show.......IT NEEDS TO BE TMNT 2012!

But what about you guys? What Nickelodeon show do you think ATLA would be best suited for (that isn't Korra).
