Mikannie Actor AU (Oscars Challenge Entry)

Hey! How are you, bubs?

Don't be sad- that's not very cash money.

Hopefully my Mikannie fanfics will cheer you up if you're having a bad day, and if you're having a good one- maybe they'll make it better?

Yes- I've decided to participate in the #TheOscars21Writing challenge. I've written a few different Mikannie one shots for this challenge but in all it's all one story.

Basically, I wrote an AU where all the characters of AoT are actors/actresses and Mikasa and Annie are dating in real-life off screen.

I've also included some art (NOT MY OWN) in between the short stories but all the artists are credited.

Yay, that's it for the intro- let's get into it! I hope you enjoy and good luck all the others participating.

Bloody Noses

It was really hot out and the sun were beginning to set- meaning that the bugs would be out soon to pray on any bare exposed skin they saw. They'd been filming all day and set had been pretty lively as they neared the end of filiming their first season.

The last scene of the day was one neither Annie or Mikasa were looking forward to; their fight scene. Now, surely all couples fought and everyone's relationship was different.. But Annie and Mikasa were happily married outside of set and neither necessarily wanted to fist fight the other.

Oh, but the fans would love it..

And it was in the script- plus all the extra gym training and choreography that had gone into it would be a waste if they didn't use it, even if it was only for one scene.

"Okay, places everyone." The director's vioce filled the air as Annie got into her well-practiced fight stance and Mikasa did the same. All eyes and all cameras were on them. It was show time.

"We're rolling in three, two, one- Action!"

Annie started her lines and Mikasa readily said hers, one plus of their marriage was that they always had time to practice scripts with each other. Then the actual fighting begin to take place.

They weren't actually hitting on one another but they were making it look like they were for the same affect- and it certaintly would look real to fans once it'd been edited.

All was fine until Mikasa felt her footing shift slightly unevenly due to the dirt she was standing on. It caused her to trip slightly, which also caused Annie to accidentally punch the girl in the face since Mikasa weren't able to dodge the attack whilst falling.

Annie weren't as cold as the character she played, certaintly not when it came to her wife. She gasped softly and kneeled down to Mikasa's fallen from, helping her up.

"Baby, I'm so sorry--" Annie stopped when she noticed the drops of blood dripping from her wifes nose. She frowned a little deeper and her brown brow furrowed in concern.

That's when Mikasa began to giggle as she wiped the blood away from her nose and shook her head, a blush forming on her lips. "Babe I'm fine, that was an awesome right hook."

Whilst giggling, Annie pulled her wife into a hug to kiss her cheek. She'd be making dinner for a week to make up for this, even if it were an accident.

"Cut! Take five, clean up and we'll roll again."

Scripts and Snapchat

Upon arriving on set, Mikasa found herself in her wifes trailer, reading over the new script they'd gotten for the episode they were planning to shoot over the course of the next few days.

Mikasa were practically the poplar opposite to her character in real life- she expressed emotion openly and were actually pretty damn sweet and shy. It was something Annie loved dearly about her girl.

That being said, Annie was in the process of putting her hair into the iconic bun that fans adored, for the most part- when Mikasa gasped.

"Hm?" Annie turnt her attention to the girl who was sitting besides her in a makeup chair, the makeup artist was doing her raven colored hair.

"Y-you're the female titan!" Mikasa said with a wide grin on her face. Annie chuckled and glanced at the script she'd already read over a few times herself. "Yeah, I mean.. I guess I am." Annie said with a shrug, "You know the writer, always throwing twists and turns our way."

Mikasa felt like a fan herself in that moment. First Eren and the whole shifting concept had been written and now this? Her wife would be the female titan! It was so cool to think about.

"Oh.. Oh but.. Damn..she's brutal, babe." Mikasa said as she read over the next few parts. Fans..probably wouldn't be fans for the first few episodes considering how many people were going to die in the next few episodes.

"I know, and fans deifnetly won't be too happy to find out Annie's the one behind it." The blonde sighed while getting out her phone and opening up Snapchat, texting some people back first while she listened to her wife go on.

Mikasa frowned at the thought of all the hate her wife would get- it was just a character she played..yet to some it were so real they often felt the need to send hate and threats. Mikasa didn't even consdier those kinds of people their fans.

"Don't worry, sweetie." Annie smiled, "Haters gonna hate." She grinned and puckered her lips for a kiss, causing Mikasa to lean forward and lock lips, giggling against them, "You're so cheesy.

Annie managed to snap a picture of their kiss for her Snapchat. The caption was "Haters will hate" just for giggles and playfulness.

Top tier

Brights lights were part of a stars life. There was always a camera in your face or a mic at your lips- interviewers and paparazzi getting paid to shove their noses into your personal business... Neither Mikasa or Annie were too fond of those kinds of people but for the most part.. It was alright.

They were currently on some talk show with some of their fellow cast ; Hange, Armin, Levi and Eren were with them on the little chairs and couches the host had for them all laid out nice.

"It's so nice to see you all again! Hows it feel to have survived this long?" The host asked, causing the small crowd to laugh lightly and applaud.

"Haha, it feels pretty damn good, my friend." Hange said with a smile, she were a comedian as well as an actress- much like her character, she knew how to make people laugh.

"I'm thankful to still have a job, and I'm very thankful to my fans of course." Armin said polieltly with much modesty.

A nice applause was heard following his statement. He was such a sweetheart.

"I kinda like being alive so, you know." Levi shrugged with a tiny smirk. Oh, the edits that would be made of him because of that smirk.

Mikasa was easily distracted in interviews, she missed the rest of the answers but was, thankfully, brought back into reality when the next rather personal question was asked,

"So tell me, are the rumors true? You and Annie are trying for a baby?" The host asked and a blush hit her cheeks as she smiled, a little hesitant.

That wasn't really his business- but, since it were asked and it had already been spread around the internet she held her wifes hand and nodded.

"Yes, that is on our to-do list."

The following cheers and applause were rather loud but both girls could feel the love.

"Anything you can tell us about that?" The host asked, the amount of views he would get on this if they actually dropped the bomb.

Annie was in fact pregnant, but no one knew yet and Mikasa deifnetly wasn't gonna say anything.

"At this moment in time? No, I'm afraid not." She chuckled and Annie put her arm around her as a few more comments were made. Hange ended up breaking a mic and had to get insanely close to Levi to share, which he enjoyed, obviously.

"Fans wanna know- what's your favorite memory on set?" The host asked- changing the subject, which Mikasa was greatful for.

"Probably when Sasha, Jean and Connie have any kinda scene together, they always mess up their lines.. It's really funny." Eren said through his chuckle, causing the cast to laugh with him.

Sasha, Connie and Jean were like siblings. They were the goofballs of the cast and joked a lot.

"There's been so many moments where we just couldn't stop laughing." Armin laughed and Levi grinned too, Hange, whom didn't actually wear glasses chuckled as well.

After a few more questions- finally, they'd gotten to the questions Mikasa knew fans were watching specifically for. They wanted to know what the cast thought about certain ships.

"Thoughts on Armin and Annie?"

"It's so fucking cute!" Hange said first.

"It's got perks." Levi said, simply rolling his eyes when asked about LeviHan or whatever it was called- Hange loved that one most.

"I personally think Mikasa and Annie is the top tier ship." Eren said and Mikasa gave him a look- that would certaintly stirr things up.

Mikasa and Annie shared a kiss on the lips and Hange clapped along with the crowd.

"That's top tier gay content right there, folks." Hange added and that joke made Mikasa burst into giggles along with the blonde besides her.

Twitter Queens

The most recent episode had just aired and Mikasa were deifnetly getting mixed reactions from fans. Anytime someone died, it was hard.. It was hard on the fans..and it was hard on the actors and actresses to say goodbye to the person on set.

Saying goodbye to Sahsa really hurt.

There were so many tears but the most tears had been shed by one of the youngest cast they had; Gabi. The little girl that had just, on-screen, shot her dead.

As soon as the director had yelled cut, Gabi ran to Sahsa and hugged her tightly, not caring in that moment if the fake blood got on her outfit.

"Oh sweetheart." Sasha said as she tried not to cry herself, all her friends were surrounding her..after years of filming this show.. It was her turn to say goodbye. It was a lot harder than she thought it was going to be. She always knew it would be hard but.. Not like this.

"P-people..a..are gonna..h..hate me Sasha." Gabi sniffled into her chest and looked up at the adult. Sasha gently creased the child's forhead and shook her head. "They're gonna hate the character you play, some of them.." She sighed, "And they're gonna take it out on you.. It's not right..but I promise we all have your back." Sasha wiped her tears and stood up, picking Gabi up, opening her other arm for a group hug.

They all ed and Mikasa surely cried her eyes out to her wife and now two in a half year old toddler. His name was Marley.

It was only a few days later, Mikasa was off finally from filming and she looked over at Annie and Marley, they were watching some cartoon while she had her late breakfast.

The pregnancy turnt out to be insanely convenient. Annie didn't have to film any dangerous stunts like Mikasa and she spent most of her on-set pregnancy in a crystal or in a rare flashback. Sadly, her wife didn't really have much of a job anymore but maybe she'd make a comeback soon.

Mikasa usually had her ringer off and she was glad she did- as she walked over to the couch and sat besides her two favorite people, she opened Twitter to see hashtags like '# kill-gabi' and                  '# revenge for sahsa' were trending.

"Some of these people.." Mikasa mumbled as she read over the millions of hate comments. "It's disgusting." She scoffed and Annie gently rubbed her back, glancing at the screen.

"I know babe, but people are upset..and it's annoying but it's something every actor and actress goes through at some point." She pointed out, which was very true.

Mikasa felt awful for Gabi. She was just a child and of course, it was fine to be upset over the loss of your favorite character but some of these comments simply were not okay.

"She's a child.. And we should say something, defend her- I mean." Mikasa suggested.

"Yeah? We should." Annie agreed.

"Yes!" Marley added in with a toddler-gurgle.

Annie and Mikasa laughed at their baby boy's ion and then got to work.
