     The wind blew in his hair, the brown and tan mixing. He strolled across the town, in search of something to entertain himself with. The air was cold and misty. Spring was on its way.

     People of different faces ed by, accompanied by friends. He sighed a hot breath as his feet crunched on the stone floor. He looked around, eyes searching for a certain someone.

   His eyes landed on a brunette. A few other people surrounded the brunette. He walked over, slapping his neck. “Ahh!!” The brunette spun around. “What the hell, Jean?!” Eren spat. “jeez what a way to greet a dear friend~” he replied sarcastically. Eren rubbed the back of his stinging neck, glaring at Jean as he moved aside.

    “Sooo~ watchya guys talking about?” He looked around. “Nothing much. We were just talking about daily little drama that happens around here.” Sasha replied with a soft smile.

     “Speaking of ‘daily’ drama, this bastard here had to break into the kitchen again and stole some meat and almost got caught By Captain Levi!” Conny snickered.

    “Wow, Really Sasha?!” Eren looked over. They had a good laugh. Hung out for the rest of the chilly day, enjoying being clueless, reckless teens.

    The sky was a vivid green, blue, pink, and purple. It mixed into a beautiful gradient, far much different than other nights. The moon was hidden by a crowd of dark clouds tinted with purple. The sun was setting and the air was getting colder.

     The rest of the group had left to go back to their rooms now, leaving Jean and Eren alone . “Eren, I’m heading back to my room. Promise you’ll come back alive?” Mikasa asked, playfully punching his shoulder before leaving for the night.

     ‘Just me and him..’ The two sat on a bench across from the stream. They held their heads up, counting every star that started to show in the slightly dim light.

     “So.., Um Eren. There’s something that I.. wanna tell you. Mind listening?” Jean asked softly, still looking at the sky. Eren turned his head, “sure go ahead.” He replied. Jean opened his mouth, preparing to speak his longing words.

     “ D..do you..do you like anyone?” Jean asked hesitantly. He looked over, his amber eyes meeting with Eren’s beautiful blue pools. “Yeah...why?” He asked, curiosity filling his eyes. “What’s your sexuality?..” Jean asked, completely ignoring Eren’s question.

   “H-hey?!- why should I tell you, horse face?” Eren replied in a snarky tone. “Just tell me, you idiot! and I don’t look like a horse..”

   “No! I’m not telling you!”

“Just tell meeee! It’s not that hard!”

Eren glared at him, his head swiftly moving to the side. “I..I kinda find guys.. attractive..” his face turned red with blush. The aura became hotter as the silence became awkward.

    “Was not expecting that but okay..”

Jean awkwardly scratched his nape, a drop of sweat streaming down his cheek. “ don’t tell anyone please..” Eren whispered. “Sure..”

   “So what I was saying,” Jean continued. He struggled to say his words. “I like this one guy..” he mumbled softly. “Wait- Really?!” Eren exclaimed in shock. “So much for you..” Jean mumbled angrily. “So. Details please.” Eren spoke straightforward.

    “Um..! dark brown hair, a foot shorter than me.., he has these big beautiful blue eyes..you could see the stars in them. He’s a feisty one..always sticks to his words, getting into fights..but here’s the thing..I don’t think he like..like-likes me.” Jean explained, chuckling sadly at the end. Eren watched Jean in awe. ‘Hopefully I didn’t give the whole thing away..’ Jean mumbled quietly to himself. A small clapping sound came from Eren’s hands, a smile brightening on his face. “Who knew you could explain someone so well?? He sounds like a pretty cool dude!” Eren joked.

   “So..how should I tell him? You know..that I like him?” Eren placed his hands behind his head, pausing to think for a short moment. “First of all, do you know if he’s into guys?” The brunette asked. “Well, yeah..” Jean looked up to him, his back slumped forward. “Why not asking him to a café or..I don’t know, go up to him and tell him you love him. You understand?” Jean sighed a laugh.  

    “Why am I asking you for dating advice again?” Jean scoffed sarcastically. Eren made an offended look. “Rude. Then why are you asking?” Jean just smiled. He placed a hand on Eren’s locks, ruffling it. His hand trailed to Eren’s cheek. He caressed it softly, his thumb rubbing circles. “U-um Jean..? What do you think your doing?..” Eren looked at him confusingly.

     “I...Eren..I’ve been meaning to tell you..for the longest time now..” Jean lowered his hand from Eren’s face. “I..I love you. From your looks to your personality. Your so determined to do anything. You and your crazy dream to kill all of the titans..” Jean fiddled with the straps on his outfit. Eren stared at him, wide eyes trying to figure out how to answer.

  “Uh..um Jean.. I-“ Eren was cut off. “I know, I know! It was so.. sudden! I truly love you, Eren Jeager.” Jean looked deep into his eyes. Regret hit the bottom of Eren’s heart. Blush spread on his cheeks as he flinched and looked away.

    Jean’s heart pounded in his chest. He was already exhausted. His cheeks were flushed. “I..Jean..” Eren looked down in shame. “Look Jean,..I...I’m sorry..” the look of confusion and sadness was mixed on the tall male’s face.

  “I don’t feel the same for you. I appreciate you liking me- I mean me of all people. But I have feelings for someone else..” Eren looked at him sympathetically. He smiled sadly. “I-I understand..I’m sorry for bothering you..” he looked down. “Thanks for your honesty, Jean.” Eren leaned over and kissed Jeans cheek softly.

     “...Goodnight Jean..”
