Hello I’m Ayumi, today I’ll teach you how to get inspired for a roleplay. People get inspired to do a roleplay most days. Some listen to music to get that good craving of inspiration. Others will just relax for awhile until the ideas just come to mind. Even just thinking about plots or any ideas can be used to come with ideas to get inspired for a roleplay.
Another way to inspired to roleplay is read other people’s work. Reading what other people have for plots or simple plans are a good way to get inspired. Maybe using a bit of an idea from someone can inspire you to get writing a roleplay or ing one. Sometimes this can take time which is okay. An example would be basing a roleplay off of an anime or show. Plan out the idea of the roleplay into what can inspire you to craft out more.
Here is an example of something I wrote from my own inspiration. It was dark and quiet that night. The sound of leaves rustling in the wind. Owls hooting out a song in the dead of night. Crickets singing their songs as well. As the fog began to drap the forest like a curtain. The grass turning into a wet sea as the moisture fell onto it. Zeke groans ed out on the grass, breathing heavily. What the hell happened last night?! He got up from the grass, looking around frantically. Wondering how he got here and what was happening. Hearing another moan in distance, a body moving towards him. It’s mouth snapping wildly at the air. If waiting for prey to fly into it. “Crap. Crap. Crap. I need to move!” Zeke thought to himself watching this sickly grey figure biting at the air. As if watching a carnivorous plant trying to catch a fly.

I really didn’t know what roleplaying was until I was way too deep into it to stop. So in reality nothing actually inspired me to start roleplaying other then my love of writing and my weird obsession of founding fathers and 2-D attractive animated men.
Currently to get inspired to roleplay...I...well I wish I could say I like cuddle up with a blanket and a cup of hot chocolate but really I roleplay all day long. Almost no matter what the situation is I’m roleplaying. And for the most part, I’m always in the mood to roleplay. Unless something happens at home, with my friends at school, I’m sleeping, or I have a really big project for school, I’m always roleplaying no matter what fandom it’s in.
So because this is about giving tips to inspire yourself to roleplay here are mine that I use the majority of the time to really get into a roleplay.
•A good roleplay partner and plot
Now I know that you don’t come across these people everyday but you can really tell when you first start talking to someone if you two are going to be good together when roleplaying.
Do you have a similar plot ideas?
Have you laughed about a autocorrect mistakes? (Because trust me they happen to the best of us)
If your not compatible like that then what’s the point of roleplaying with someone like that. It can get boring fast and you can loose interest. Have a plot that you like, make it interesting for yourself and your partner. Don’t do something your not into.
•You have an opinion
Do not just say ‘yes yes yes’ every time they ask you a question about do you like this or that. State your opinion they will state yours. Once again if you let someone else decide the plot and you don’t like it, the roleplay can get boring pretty fast. And especially for writing longer replies you really have to be into the roleplay at least that’s how it is for me.
•Don’t control their character
Why would you want to put the stress on yourself to write something about their character ITS THEIRS. Don’t put words or actions into other people’s mouths because that’s what you want. This isn’t a fanfic it’s a roleplay. So write about your character and only yours.
Those are really my main tips about getting into a roleplay and inspiring yourself when doing so. And honestly just have fun! See what happens. In the world of roleplay the possibilities are endless

When roleplaying, it’s hard to get into the zone. You may be inspired at first but then as it gradually goes on, you may feel uninspired or uninterested. There are a few things that will help you remain inspired and focused on the roleplay. First things first, that roleplaying cant be your number one priority and that if you can’t respond for a few days, that’s okay. Just be sure to let your partner know. Your number one priority is yourself and your health.
When getting yourself inspired to roleplay, you should try listening to music that you think could fit the plot of your roleplay. If it’s a fun, upbeat roleplay, listen to fun and upbeat songs! If it’s sad, listen to sad songs. There’s song for every type of AU out there! Music helps writers get inspired because song writers portray feelings into their music that tell a story. So music will definitely help you get inspired.
Another thing is reading. Reading can help you get ideas as well. Similarly to music, reading books (fan fiction or literature) helps us think. It could be a great way to get inspired for your roleplay. And the last thing is that if you aren’t as involved in the fandom as you once were, try watching a few of the episodes or movies from the series you’re roleplaying for. You can also read the mangas or books for it as well. ing the story line and the characters can help you figure out what to say and how to act. It’ll help you motivate yourself.

How to get inspired to roleplay
This one is kind of tricky, but not the hardest thing in the world. So if you don’t mind reading a bit I’ll share a few tips on how to get inspired to roleplay. I use these quite often and especially when I a new chat or Amino. Hopefully this can help you either start off or even improve your rp? Who knows, now enough of me rambling and onto the tips.
Usually first off it depends on whether you are trying to just get into a chat and start off or if you are trying to get inspired by a plot. For trying to rp for the first time I would a chat and just watch. See how others rp. Watch their styles and the way they seem to format. This can give you options of ways you want to use your starter. The hardest part I assure you if the beginning. So once you find your rp style go off of that, no one will judge you don’t worry. Or, if you have already made a few friends I would say invite them to that chat! It can help you feel more confident if you already know some people. Roleplay is a great way to makes friends for sure. While in roleplay sometimes I like to listen to music to set the theme. It really helps me get in the mood and try to feel my character’s emotions. Another thing is try to picture what you’re saying before you type. Paint a clear picture of what is going on in your head. If you aren’t understanding what is happening in the chat just ask! There is no harm in asking.
If you are trying to get inspired with a plot I would say read over the plot. Try to envision your character in that story plot. If you can’t picture it maybe it isn’t the best plot for you, or you can try it in case it makes more sense along the way. Another thing is listen to music that sets the mood to the rp! Music is a big help for me! I hope these tips help you on your roleplay journey!!

Levi has some tips for you!

Roleplay is an interesting and fun topic that I have grown to have a ion for. When I get inspired it usually happens from a random event that occurred near me, or there is just this feeling of creativity and thoughts swirling in my mind begging to be put to words. I always thought of it was this way to almost like a book in the most unique way. There are so many possible outcomes and infinite choices that draw me to it when you have a plan for one thing but it takes a turn to the next. You write your own story book and it’s one that you live.
I always start off by letting out a breath and stretching before I hop in Amino. There is less stress on my body physically and it let’s me open up to something else a lot easier than expected. When I browse through everything, I take note of what is going on around me and if only a sliver of information was available at that time, I piece it together with my own imagination and start moving my thoughts into to one and I get this urge to write. Concentration is also key during this if you want your thoughts to form properly. Otherwise, a really nice idea has many mistakes and no longer makes any sense. It can actually be difficult to get inspired to roleplay when it gets down to it because people don’t have much motivation to do it.
It’s alright not to though, most people that roleplay do it because they usually just enjoy the feeling of living their own book. It is so interesting to see what certain characters would to in different situations than what they are used to. Other people, however, are just not as interested when it comes to doing the work just to see what happens next. Watching a roleplay is always alright too, and even if you never intended to be part of one, it can push you to at least try it. Seeing something and how enjoyable it is creates this small motivation, and acting on it can make this grow into something much greater and you will find yourself wondering what it is like to experience a story that can not be truly lived.
At the end of the day, not everyone can be inspired to roleplay the same way, or at all for that matter. What really does affect one to do something like this would be their own desire and not just some random thing telling you “By the way, do this”. Just do what you like and if roleplay is not what you dreamed of it being, that is perfectly alright. If it truly is, then you go on and look at a situation, good or bad, at every angle and wonder to yourself, “How can I put that down?” or “Maybe I can change that…”. Whatever it may be to put yourself out there and use your creativity and imagination as much as possible. The sky is the limit. If you want to find yourself as a great roleplayer, come us. We can’t wait to meet you.

Eren Jaeger’s tips.

The first thing you should know about gaining the inspiration to roleplay, is a very basic thing. Who are you playing? If you’ve already written out a starter for the character, then it will be significantly easier to guide you along. Assuming you’ve established the personality of your character, you can build it off from there with a couple questions to ask yourself. Who is this person? What are they like? Pleasant? Unpleasant? How would their personality affect the current situation? If you know their personality well, you may choose to write about how they respond to somebody else’s actions. This is a good place to begin.
Building on this further, I will address a situation in which you may not be certain how to respond. During these moments, you may choose to use a little bit of filler text. However, use it sparingly. Filler text becomes uninteresting rather quickly. You may describe what your character looks like, or what they see. However, to include how they may feel.
Take this as an example.
”A male with blond locks sat inside of a quiet little room, sunlight filtering its way through the dusty, old blinds. (Describing the room.) It’d been a couple days since the Colossal Titan had been defeated, and peace had, mostly, been restored. (You may choose to give context to the situation.) The air seemed tense with the energy of apprehensive scouts, and thick with the scent of frightened cadets.”
Already, there is so much to say. The description of your character’s surroundings, your character themself, as well as context on what has/is occurring.
”It all felt so different. He felt different, knowing that although he’d been saved from his death, it was inevitable. It’d only been delayed, and the thought of what the future held nearly rendered the male nauseous. (Character’s thoughts and feelings)”
You might notice that this time, I’ve begun to describe the person’s thoughts toward the situation. Experiment, have fun with it. That’s all.

Having trouble finding inspiration for roleplay? Well maybe these tips can be of some help for you!
My number one tip would be to go at your own pace! Maybe look at what others are putting before you and see if you can spark up some inspiration for what you yourself can do!
Another tip would be to look into the character you are playing, especially if they are canon. You may find a fact or head canon about them that you didn’t know or really like which could spark a whole new way of playing an old character.
I would say my last tip is to enjoy yourself! There’s no point forcing yourself to roleplay as you probably won’t have any inspiration for it at all and that’s no good. Making sure you are in the right state of mind when you roleplay can help your creative mind to flow.

How to get inspired? Well personally I like to research things around the topic to grasp a feel of it, like really know what you’re getting yourself into before it’s really too late and you know really know anything about the topic and characters. With every role play I do I love to thoroughly look at everything that the roleplay could and is based off of, it’s almost like baking, you should look through your recipe and see exactly what you’re getting yourself into before you decide to fully commit or back down, either one.
Then after all of the research I like to simply sit down in a quite place or wherever helps myself think about similar role plays I’ve done to the roleplay or if I’ve never done one, similar things I’ve seen in movies or shows. Once I’ve done this I sometim scroll through my social media, looking for things that might spark me interest about the topic of the roleplay. After that I like to scroll through pictures, seeing if I could possibly find an Oc that sparks my interest and see if I could create an Oc for the roleplay based off the interest the Oc picture gave me.
Although I know some people don’t like Oc’s and would rather play a character from the anime or movie and sometimes seek out inspiration about how a character could look or act in certain situations. Also one could seek out inspiration on a character from said movie or anime because they simply have never thought about playing as the character and would like to try and see if they could grab anything on how the character looks, acts, and feels certain things from videos, pictures, books, etc

Narnia’s tips.

Hello! It’s Narnia, and I’ll being giving tips on, “How to get inspired to Rp.” Everyone is different in creativity. And getting the urge to Rp is too. Wether you want to Rp one on one. Group, what genre, what style. Or just role-playing in general! I’ll be trying to help with anyone stuck.
What inspires me to Rp is the thought of improving my righting skills. Now I don’t know if that’s the same for anyone else. Asking yourself maybe, “Do I want to Rp?” Is it a yes or no? Do you have a plot? No, base it off of something maybe. Game, movie, song, AU, or even have a canon Rp.
Everyone is different. That is very important to . You may not find anything in my tips but maybe someone else’s. Or none at all. That’s ok, cause you can give yourself a moral idea and create your own way of inspiration!

And now, we have Levi Jaeger’s tips.
—
Helloo~ This is Levi with many nicknames here. For now you can call me Kiddo, and today I’ll give you some insight on what inspires me to rp.
To be honest, boredom is usually what oddly inspires me to roleplay. On top of that though, I have many ideas for fanfiction writings and I also just have many different ideas and scenarios that float in my mind every day. This ranges from seeing fan art of my favorite ship — or any fan art really — to listening to a song with a potential story behind it. There would also be themes that would run around my head — like futuristic and fantasy roleplay to philosophical ideas such as Transcendentalism, Reincarnation, and Existentialism. Recently, I’ve been inspired by a latest animated movie called Weathering With You and it made me interested to roleplay the theme and plot.
I have many inspirations for roleplaying many different themes and one of the simpler and easiest ways to do it would be seeing art work from many different and amazing fandom artists. Here’s an example of fan art I absolutely love:

[C]╚═══ -ˋˏ *.·:·.❖.·:·.* ˎˊ- ═══╝](https://image.staticox.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fpm1.aminoapps.vertvonline.info%2F7379%2Fe712c9d48f3dd713b38d795c3485b7715bea736br1-750-1100v2_hq.jpg)
Within this art, made by Lena (@inunekosukii on Twitter), holds many possibilities of plots and themes. It’s in Modern AU (Alternate Universe) and it seemed to me like Eren’s an actor in a play or even in a theater performance in school. Roles and personality have already been established for this and there could even be add-on themes to the overall roleplay. I’d go in detail as to why, but for now I’ll keep it short and just say that there could be multiple beginnings and multiple ending possibilities with any good fan art you see — if it has that potential.
From roles to plots for roleplays anything could be possible if you find the inspiration through artistic mediums, like fan art to music or movies. Whatever helps you get inspired to roleplay, do it! All of these platforms inspire me to roleplay since my mind is always buzzing to tell and roleplay stories. I hope I didn’t overwhelm you, but gave you some ideas and inspiration for you to get started! Thank you and I’ll see you all soon♡
