So what if Desmond never killed Lucy in AC Brotherhood?
How would that](https://image.staticox.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fpm1.aminoapps.vertvonline.info%2F8192%2F924db90ad9290da2e0f67dc3f5fbcc1bf4b8d07dr1-1920-1080v2_hq.jpg)
So what if Desmond never killed Lucy in AC Brotherhood?
How would that change the modern day events?
Well surprisingly, and obviously, Assassins Creed 3 and onwards would be very different compared to what does happen in AC3 and onward.
This affects things such as would Desmond still save the world?
Would he realize his purpose?
Would Warren Vidic still have died?
To this, I predict three outcomes:
Outcome 1: Desmond Escapes and Lets The World End

So what if not killing Lucy meant that Desmond would die early?
Let me explain this.
Assuming that Desmond is able to resist the apple and Lucy lives which prompts her to succeed in her duty to betray the assassins and turn in Desmond Miles back to Warren Vidic.
If Vidic still needs Desmond as his test subject, why would Lucy kill Desmond you might ask?
Well, at this point, Desmond is pretty powerful, having picked all of Ezio’s skills and memories from when he was born to nearly 50 years old in AC Brotherhood.
At this point, I would assume he would be able to use Ezio’s assassin skills to either escape Lucy or kill her for her betrayal.
In this case, he would be an assassin running from Abstergo yet again, but without Lucy’s guidance nor Juno’s messages at the end of AC Brotherhood, Desmond would be left ultimately unaware of the isu or the end of the world and the world would most likely end without Desmond there to save it.
But what about Shaun and Rebecca you might ask? Well, either Desmond rescues them or they get captured or killed by Abstergo. Either way, it doesn’t change the fact that Desmond will never go into a coma where his father will watch over him, he will never meet subject 16, or find out about the grand temple that leads to Connor. Because all of these events happened due to Lucy.
No matter what happens, because Lucy’s death triggered the events of Revelations and AC3, Desmond wouldn’t save the world and what probably never meet Connor, Edward, and every assassin that came after Ezio.
Outcome 2: Lucy Succeeds and Desmond Is Subject 17 Again

Now let’s say the same thing happens, only this time Desmond fails to escape and Lucy successfully captures him and puts him back in Abstergo.
Would the world still end? Would Desmond find out his purpose to save the world?
Yes and no.
The world would most definitely still end because Warren Vidic wants Desmond to look for the apple of eden. Which is successfully brought to him by Lucy because again Desmond didn’t kill Lucy.
And since Desmond doesn’t know his purpose to save the world, even if the Templars did manage to find and open the grand temple and tried to save the world themselves, it wouldn’t work because Desmond has to be the one to do it.
Why Desmond?
Because Juno made him the chosen one. If anyone touched the eye that saved the world in the grand temple, it probably wouldn’t work because Desmond has to be the one to do it.
And with Desmond still a guinea pig in Abstergo being used to search for more pieces of Eden with more ancestors, even if the Templars would eventually find out Desmond that Desmond is the chosen one, it probably would be too late.
Outcome 3: Desmond’s Son?

Yes in case you didn’t know, Desmond does have a son which is revealed in AC Syndicate if you look in the files in the main menu screen, and is properly introduced in the Assassins Creed Uprising comics which by the way, y’all should read if you have the time. It’s really good.
Anyways, the story with this kid is because since Desmond’s dead and is also a sage, Elijah Miles (yes that’s his name), is kidnapped by Abstergo just like his dad and is not used to explode his ancestors nor pieces of Eden but
… to a cult called The Instruments of The First Will?
I don’t know guys, this is all I’ve heard I haven’t gotten very far into the story so please correct me if I’m wrong and also if you read the comics
Anyways, what will happen to Desmond’s son if Desmond didn’t kill Lucy?
Well Elijah Miles was born in 2005 and the first mention of him according to the Templars takes place in 2015, making him about 10 years old, he would be 17 today.
In 2012, he would be 7 years old and most likely Abstergo would never find out he existed because they found out about him in 2015.
Now if Desmond hadn’t killed Lucy and let the world end, most likely this kid would have no relevance to the overall modern day story and would just be chilling till the end of the world.
Abstergo and we as the players would never find out about Desmond having a son because the events talking about him take place long after Desmond has died in the canon verse.
So that’s basically it. Just three outcomes that I thought could potentially happen if Desmond never killed Lucy.
I’m sorry if this seems a little poorly written or some things don’t make sense: I basically forced myself to write this  because I’ve been dealing with personal issues in my life that have caused me to lose a whole lot of motivation to write.
But yeah it would have done a lot better if I was motivated to write this, but I wasn’t because I forced myself to do so unfortunately.
So if you have any flaws in this that you’d like to point out, please do so!
I actually quite like the idea of making these what if stories, I think they’re really fun and I’m thinking of making more even after the #whatif event is over.
But that’s all I have for now, thanks for reading!

Wow! I've played and beat Assassin's Creed syndicate..but I don't hearing of Desmond's son! I must have missed that..
That’s because it’s pretty hard to find  it’s located in the secret files in a part of the main menu but its really well hidden. It’s more of a secret you can find out rather than an in your face moment. Thank you so much!

Ah. Yeah That Makes sense! Perhaps I need to collect more Helix gliches..I found that the more Helix gliches you find random present day data base files show up and give small information bits
