•Miuna is smart however is practically useless in normal everyday talents.

•Because Miuna lived by strict rules, Miuna became easily flustered by PDA having not been exposed to it much during childhood.

•Karasuma Tadaomi is Miuna's uncle and legal guardian.

•Miuna isn't too fond of oceans, pools or large bodies of water in general due to past experiences.

•After Kayano Kaede is discovered to be Akari Yukimura, It is later revealed that Miuna secretly had tentacles too. They were dark and grew out from a little above her tail bone. Miuna created these tentacles after taking a few blood samples from Koro-sensei's detached tentacles and thoroughly studying them before she made any irrational conclusions.

— B̠a̠c̠k̠g̠r̠o̠u̠n̠d̠ —

Miuna is the first born and only child of the Karasuma family so far. Miuna was a special child, having excelled in any subject given to her.

Miuna's parents were government workers that worked directly under the ministry of defense. Since birth, Miuna's fate had already been decided for her and when her parents were assassinated on Miuna's 9th birthday, her fate was undoubtedly sealed. The one responsible for the death of Miuna's parents was the ripper himself, Miuna truly despised this man and believed that it was him who made her life miserable. Karasuma Tadaomi took on the role of Miuna's legal guardian and let her live with him in Tokyo however because of his job, he left her in Japan as he continued to work outside the country. During Miuna's elementary days, she was bullied due to her silent demeanor and lack of facial expressions, this resulted in Miuna becoming cold and developing severe trust issues.

Due to her high intelligence, Miuna stopped attending school and accepted the offer the ministry of defense gave to her in which she became a detective. During her first few cases, she witnessed the death of a person she was investigating; that’s when she realized she should never step out of line. Miuna wasn't allowed to have a normal childhood nor was she allowed to disobey orders given to her by her superiors.

A few years later, Miuna was assigned to play the role of a student in a classroom that stood on a mountain. Her goal is to assassinate a supernatural octopus and if she completes this mission, she would get a promotion and be able to work on the investigation of the Ripper.
