What/How to Flag

Recently there has been a lot of flag reports submitted by quite a few , most of which are completely irrelevant or a simple situation that the member themselves can handle.

Please do not flag issues such as “they spelled ‘stupid’ wrong” or “this is the wrong grammar”. That has nothing to do with the community, it’s just a personal vendetta against wrong grammar and misspelling.

Flag reports that aren’t important at all (such as the examples listed above)— not only waste the staff’s time, but gives us the impression that have forgotten what the flag center is really for. That is what brings us here to this PSA today.

What to Flag

The flag center exists solely for the staff to address situations that have been happening around the community while inactive for a certain period of time resting. We cannot moderate a community 24/7, and we certainly do not have time to deal with flag reports that are extraneous.

Issues such as: racial slang, bullying and harassment, sexual harassment, attention seeking, all in which violates the [guidelines] are to be flagged.

When you flag a report, make sure you take a screenshot(s) and flag the incident with a full on detail explaining why you reported this certain situation. If you don’t want to report something using the flag method, you can always directly the staff.

What not to flag

Anything that doesn’t violate the guidelines such as incorrect grammar, misspellings, “they did this and that” scenarios without solid proof, false accusations without proof— all in which 1) do not violate the guidelines at all, and 2) are simple problems that don’t need the staff to deal with completely, will be disregarded.

The staff has been kind enough to address reports in the flag center that are vaguely explained or not at all. From now on, are required to report in full detail if they flag. (Off topic posts and chatroom flags do not require any explaining)

The image above shows the categories that are listed when one wants to flag an issue. Please make sure that the situation you want to flag fits in the right category.

Examples given below do not cover everything, it is only reference for the . If you would like to know more, or have any questions regarding these, feel free to message me or the staff.

Violence, Graphic Content, or Dangerous Activity

If someone sends an image of blood, gory images, suicide— images that are disturbing to the eye without any sort of warning, this is the category you will flag. These reports will go straight to TA to deal with.

Hate Speech & Bigotry

Example: cussing someone out, calling out someone and delivering hate, etc- these can also be flagged under “Bullying”. However, if you would like to be more specific, flag it here.

Self Injury & Suicide

Suicidal conversations, images of self harm <— the category itself should be self explanatory. Do not engage or make a situation worse if a member starts to send messages that fall under suicide or self harm. Just flag and let the staff deal with the rest. , the moderation team are willing to listen if you need someone to talk to.

Harassment & Trolling

This is the substitute for “Spam” since TA removed the category awhile back. Spam reports have no need for explaining either, but if the issue is harassment, make sure you screenshot and explain.

Nudity & Pornography

NSFW images, genitalia, sexual roleplay or harassment, explicit conversations, etc will be flagged here. Just like the “Violence” category, these reports will be headed straight to TA.

Side note: I will not bother elaborating on “Bullying” and “Off Topic” for which both are also self explanatory.

Spamming Flags

If reports that are repetitively sent by the same and are irrelevant, we will consider this as spam and will issue warnings or hidden profiles if this behavior is continued. We will look into the situation before issuing these consequences, but if there is no importance at all, we will ignore it and move on.

The first one is the mini flag icon. It brings you two categories: Flag Chat Info, and Flag Chat Messages. Flagging messages will be the next topic, so I will get there in a second.

The second option is the three dots. Click on that and it’ll give you an option of flagging and copying the link. “Flag Chat Info” and “Flag for Review” for chatrooms are essentially the same thing. Steps repeat afterward, most of which are self explanatory.

First, locate the message you would like to flag. This can range from advertising messages to explicit ones. Press on (hold) that message for a couple seconds until you see the tiny notification that says “copy”, etc. Tap “Flag” and it’ll take you to the same place.
