Chapter two
"Flying to the unknown"
Blossom had just jumped from the edge, her feet leaving the solid surface. She began falling downwards, gaining speed the longer she fell. Blossom knew she had to think fast and remained calm as she closed her eyes and thought hard. She was around mid way down when a set of clear, almost glass like wings solidified on her back. As soon as she felt the new weight on her back blossom opened her eyes and began to steady herself. The pink cat was rapidly Nearing the bottom and after she was steady enough she spread the wings. She Kept her breathing stable as the wind started to catch on her new wings, somewhat slowing the fall. Only a few yards from the bottom Blossom began to flap the wings and steadily got to the ground. Her feet touched the ground gently and she stood there for a second before jumping up and shouting excitedly "i did it!"
After a short celebration for the victory blossom looked around the bottom of the cliff. Along with the spiked rocks that littered the ground blossom noticed small crystal like rocks here and there. The feline started to walk around, looking at all the small details and shining gems in the stone. After roughly 10 minutes of walking around and looking at stones blossom decided to try and practice more with her wings.
She found a space that looked clear of any rock that one might trip on and got stood at the end of the 'path'. Once she was ready The feline took of running, she started flapping her wings and was lifted of the ground. Blossom wobbly flew up and out of the large ravine, feeling the wind blowing though her fur. She flew higher and looked out on her surroundings, the canyon she just flew from, farther back was the field of blue flowers.
There where new landscapes up ahead as well, a forest up in the distance, and what seemed like a sort of small dessert.
Blossom dove down, gaining more confidence in her flying she headed toward the forest trees. She got closer to the edge of the forest and found a place that wasn't as dense with trees. She neared the first tree and leaned right, making her go around the tree. Blossom went to another one, quickly weaving around it as she neared the next.
Blossom kept weaving though the trees, feeling wind though her fur and the adrenaline in her veins.
A sudden impact knocked blossom down, the leaves crunching as her weight landed on the ground.
She stayed laying down for a while before sitting up and rubbing her head "well, fun while it lasted"
The cat snickered as she began to stand. Just as blossom stood up she heard a rustle in the bushes behind her.
