Scars of Vanny [FNAF, Renegade AU]

IDK if I need a content warning for the scars/ descriptions of the scars. Luis's been stabbed and shot a few, and Nessie's had her body forced to act beyond it's limits without a care for injury. Also mention of thumb screws, damn I forgot that part.

These two need to catch some rest, like, seriously, they've been through some stuff. It's about time I let them take a nap. So that's what this is.

This takes place before the raid on the Pizzaplex, so whilst they are in temporary accommodation (being half to all the way across the country and all), this sleeping arrangement is normal for them.

I wanted to let Ness and Luis finally get a good look at what the other has been through and what scars each of them have obtained both during Ness's time at the Pizzaplex as Vanny, as well as the scars obtained before, back when she was trying to push back against Williams control.

The couple lay in bed, foreheads touching and hands intertwined as they attempted to fall asleep. It was not an issue of temperature, as the weather was perfect, and it was not an issue of comfort, as they were comfortable. It was an issue of fear.

Ness only could recall snippets from her time as Vanny, her memories blurry at best - for the better now - but she recalled the harm that she had done to Luis whilst she was not herself.

Even though her time as 'Vanny' was finally over, at least she hoped, and Glitchtrap was gone from her mind, she was scared that it wasn't really over and that the rabbit was simply lying in wait to try again. She didn't want to what was under the Pizzaplex, and the fact they'd be going back in a few days to solve that mystery sent a chil down her spine.

Luis's pajama shirt had rode up slightly, allowing her to see his slim frame. She still saw the scar on his abdomen from when Vanny took over scratched her name into his skin with her fingernails, and the scar of the stab wound in his gut from when she was stuck as Vanny and had attempted to stab him in the heart and after he collapsed at the Princess Quest 3 arcade. That one stab wound was two, but it only looked like one. She was also able to sneak a peak under the neckline of his shirt and saw the scar of the gunshot wound on his shoulder. This one was not of her doing and actually the work of an exec, but she, as herself, had been the one to take him to the hidden room, intending to protect him. Instead, he had almost been killed.

It made her sick thinking of all the harm that had befallen her beloved Luis thanks to her, and she didn't understand why he stayed with her. Hell, Glitchtrap had turned her into a killer, and even though her body was not her own then, it was still her body used to cause harm.

So why did he love her? She asked herself, tears pricking at the corners of her eyes.

Luis ed the days when Ness used to come into work battered and bruised, claiming that her boyfriend, Brad, had been the cause of her injures. Then the next day, this boyfriend started to be referred to as an ex boyfriend. And after she'd made her feelings for him clear when they went out for a coffee, she referred to Brad as a stalker ex boyfriend; she still came into work beat up and bruised. He knew before they went out for a coffee that Brad was a fake identity to mask the existence of William and draw less suspicion to Ness's actions, but also was a way to cry for help; one cry for help amongst many that he was able to respond to.

He ed moving in together, and how one night, he was woken up to her dazed, eyes glazed over with a pink glow, raking her nails across his skin, scratching the word 'Vanny' into his side, and how in the morning when he woke up, she was crying in the bathroom and had cut her nails far too low. He wished he had woken up sooner that day to stop her from hurting herself, but he noticed that fortunately her nails had grown back quite well, even despite the thumbscrews.

'At least she's finally healing.'

His gaze shifted from her hands to the rest of her body, and he saw a variety of scars that littered her skin. He shuddered to think what else William had done to her.

He wanted to protect her from this ever happening again.

He wanted to protect her as much as she had been protecting him. Luis didn't think that Ness quite knew it - accepted it, to be more accurate - but she had protected him many times: stepping in when William was about to kill him was one he couldn't forget, and he doubted that she'd forget either. And then there was attempting to move him to a safe place in the Pizzaplex the night he failed to save her, which may have resulted in him getting shot but there wasn't much else she could have done with her limited control. He didn't know why she carried him back there - he only knew it was her thanks to Julian and Sylvia's obvious hints that day towards the identity of the 'mystery' woman whose name begins with a V who carried him there - but he knew her well enough to know that she had only the best intentions with her choice of hiding spot.

Besides, they'd be going back to the megaplex soon with police and agitated ex-Freddy's employee backup, and they'd finally make good on thier promise they made to eachother to end William's reign of terror together.

He wanted to let Ness know that he loved her for who she was and for being able to make all the hard decisions she had to make and still come out the other end at all, but words wouldn't cut it anymore. He had always used words to tell her that everything would be ok, that he still loved her, that he stood by her, and even though these words always rang true, he knew that Ness may fear that the words were becoming redundant. For all he loved her for and all she'd been through, he knew that she doubted herself to the point she questioned why he stayed with her.

Luis wanted her to know that he truly does love her.

Perhaps he could try using her ways of showing affection for a change?

After taking a deep breath, he planted a kiss on her forehead.

He saw her face turn the same pretty red as her eyes as her frown twisted into a smile, and he couldn't help but smile back.
