Ambush here to present you with this months staff challenge!

With spring officially here and summer not far behind, we’re getting a head start on our water themed challenges! Without further ado, grab your goggles and splash on in!

It’s tail as old as time! Mermay!

For the unfamiliar, Mermay is a long-running prompt based around mermaids! Typically there’s a long list of prompts to do daily, but we’ll only be asg one for this challenge.

Your prompt this month will be to make a mermaid themed OC. That’s it! It can be themed around anything you’d like! Foods, rocks, drinks, anything you can think up as long as it’s part human part fish! You can even redesign an existing OC to be merfolk if you so wish! We encourage you to get creative with species and theme, anything underwater is on the table! Or… maybe the table isn’t the best place for them.

can be used to get one of your future posts

featured! To use the ticket, make sure your post

꩜ .ᐟ Two or more proof shots. Valid proof shots are layers, sketches, image without the background, and lineart only (digital). Or various angles, work in progress shots, and shots with your art supplies on top of the artwork. Zoom shots are not valid, and speedpaints only count as one (1) form of proof.

꩜ .ᐟ You haven’t had a post featured recently (7 days)

Using your ticket is easy! Just message a staff member saying you’d like to use your ticket, followed by a link to the post you’d like featured, and a link to the post where you won your ticket.

Entering is as easy as a backfloat! Simply make a post with your entry and include the tag #MermayMerslay to be entered!
