Clip Studio's Assets Part 1

If you have encountered me or interacted with me, you must have heard me praise the Clip Studio's Assets many times. It is because I've never been so amazed of such drawing software with vast amount of drawing materials to provide.

Not everything tho is free on their Asset Section, there are time-limited free and/or paid already from the time they were ed in the discretion of the er.

Q: But for starters, what is Clip Studio's Assets?

- According to Lillen Art (lillenart.github.io), Clip Studio Asset is a free service from CELSYS. It allows Clip Studio s to share and buy materials like brushes, 3D models, 3D objects, poses, gradients, 2D images, auto actions and more.

-This one feature of Clip studio is what helped me find my ideal brushes and materials for my art peices. It also allowed me to further search for materials for practicing my own craft.

Q: How do you open this feature from the Clip Studio?

- You can go and press the Clip Studio icon and go to the CLIP STUDIO ASSETS on the Service section on the left corner OR

-You can press this icon on the Clip Studio Paint itself and the Clip Studio sreen I showed you earlier will pop out.

Q: What do you usually look for on the Assets?

- I usually look for this kind of materials:

1. 3D objects that I 'think' are difficult to draw

2. Patterns and accessories for dresses

3. Brushes that are sometimes I due to popularity (I am so guilty hahaha)

4. Erasers that have different features as the ordinary ones on the default tools

5. Scenic materials (E.g Clouds, Waves, leaves, flowers)

6. Limited time free items that are very interesting to me but may or may not use it in the future

7. Other materials that are deemed useful to me on drawing art pieces.

Q: Wait... what is that No. 6?

- I do that because I saw a feature that both has pros and cons so I took advantage of it.

- Once you ed a free or paid item from the asset on an old computer but then YOU DECIDED to change computers and bought a new one (for example) and Clip Studio on the new ones... if you WANT TO RETRIEVE both free and paid items from the assets, you can them for free because of this feature.

-According to a , you can delete the asset on your 'materials' but you CANNOT delete it on 'My s' forever and this feature was what made your paid assets free of charge to when you decided to switch pcs or any other gadgets ing Clip Studio.

-Why is it advantageous? Because you won't spend further clippy coins or gold coins and you can still find brushes you needed on that history when you change pc.

-Why is it disadvantageous? Well, for personal reasons to be honest. I have a little privacy on my since I let my young brother use my license(he draws). It was too late before I discover this function. I ed a lot of R18 poses from an er. bwahahaha

Q:Can you you own assets for the other s to ?

-Yes, as long as you bought a Clip Studio license and have your own . I actually ed like 3 or 4 3D poses. It's because I needed the coins wahaha.

-Tip: When you materials, if you set it FREE OF CHARGE for 48 hours, you will receive 150 Clippy coins after 48 hours from the ing time. But they limit this to one per day only. Note that the coins will expire 6 months after obtaining it.

-My s are all free at the moment, I am not thinking of charging the 3D poses since the models aren't mine to begin with(This is just out of my personal opinion). But I may charge my future materials except for the 3D poses.
