Becky Albright was a witness to one of Scarecrows crimes; when she refused to recant her testimony he kidnapped her and exposed her to fear toxin in order to discover her greatest fear. Becky appears to have some deformity such as scoliosis and is terrified of how other people view her, a trait that Jonathan Crane shares.

The Scarecrow stopped tormenting her and attempted to recruit her as his "Mistress of Fear" - Ms. Fear (it appears he had developed a crush). At first, Becky denied his offer and tried to move on with her life, Crane was devastated.

Feeling weak and tired of the way people viewed her, The once shy and quiet Becky decided to get even with them. She reached out to Crane and accepted his partnership. Becky took the name "Mistress of Fear" and wore a costume similar to Scarecrows.
