In 1944, when he was just eleven years old, Lithuanian collaborators and soldiers of the Armed Forces attack “Castle Lecter and occupy it without major resistance, because the family had left to a small house in the woods by then. After the collapse of the eastern front during world war two, collaborators attack thus house, Hannibal’s parents and relatives died before at an air-raid. The deserters keep him and his younger sister as hostages. When they ran out of food in winter, they kill his sister Mischa, make soup out of her and also feed this to Hannibal, without him knowing. This traumatic event is the key element for his future cannibalism. After the war and his stay in an orphanage, in which he had much humiliation going over him, he finds a home at his aunt’s house in Paris. At the age of thirteen he commits his first murder, who insulted his aunt before. When the police questions him, he doesn’t show any emotion at all. Later he also kills all of his sister’s murders, who were still alive and therefore makes his way to Canada. 1973 Lecter moves to the U.S.A. and becomes a psycho therapist in Baltimore. His work, his strong sense for aesthetics and his worldly education quickly make him a respected member of high society. He founds his extravagant lifestyle by convincing his patients to bequeath their assets to him. If they agree on this, he brutally murders them, cooks parts of them in exquisite recipes, or serves the meals to unknowing guests of him.
