Builders appreciate builders. More than 5 years i've been trying to stimulate the to build more and to post it, but they are often too shy to do so. It make me happy to see post their builds, and i like your style. So keep up the good work, and if you ever want to discuss building techniques, you know where to find me.
With color choices, 2 contrasting or a 3 split complementary color set looks nice. That way you can make things pop out so dept and definition isn't lost. Another factor to consider is what color looks good on the material you're painting on, being it stone wood metal or others.
