Punchcard Act 3: Day 1 ( :rotating_light: SPOILERS :rotating_light: )

Hello!! I’m back again with this new punchcard and I’m completely broken after this act lmao. I thought act 2 was sad but this one took it to a whole new level and I am devastated ☹

Ep 7: Pretend Like It’s the First Time

So this episode was actually so interesting. I loved seeing the alternate universe where almost everyone was alive and happy. It looked like both Piltover and Zaun had come to an agreement because the bridge was completely open. I loved seeing people who lived in Zaun breathing fresh air. Everything just looked so clean down there. I also loved seeing Powder all grown up! She was so adorable!! I enjoyed how we got to finally see Claggor and Mylo all grown up as well since they died so young in the original universe.

I was honestly waiting to see what Vi looked like until they revealed she had died and my heart broke. She had died so young too. When I look back on this episode, I also noticed Vander having a tattoo saying Vi which was so sweet and heartbreaking because that was his daughter. This showed what would have happened if episode 1 in the first season went differently and if Silco had found that letter. There was no hextech or shimmer which meant everything was so peaceful. Heimerdinger singing was so beautiful and I loved that song! The flashback of Powder holding her sister’s body was horrible though. I couldn’t help but cry :skull:

WE HAD FINALLY GOTTEN TIMEBOMB THOUGH AND I WAS SO HAPPY!! Their little dancing scene to that beautiful song and their kiss! I loved it all. I also loved how he literally painted Vi grown up from his universe just to apologize to Powder. It made me sad that was the only time she got to see what her sister would have looked like all grown up. It was like the sisters couldn’t live happily together which made me very upset. I actually loved seeing them develop Ekko’s in game powers and then when he was getting ready to leave, Heimerdinger sacrificing himself made me bawl because I loved that little old guy :pensive: Then Powder seeing what Ekko really looked like and realizing he was from a different universe made me somewhat happy because whenever she looks at the painting of Vi, she will realize that’s exactly what her sister looks like in some other universe. Ekko had to leave Powder to go save his Jinx which was almost a parallel to all the times he wished for Powder to come back but now he was accepting Jinx. I loved how much screen time Ekko got in this episode.

Then there was Jayce’s part of the episode and I couldn’t help but laugh when they first showed it. It was just so different from the happy world Ekko and Heimerdinger landed in. It actually scared me a little seeing all that :skull: But I was excited to see his reason for attacking Viktor. Seeing what happened in the future to Piltover and Zaun because of hextech was actually very interesting and watching Jayce lose his mind was crazy lmao! I enjoyed seeing why he was so determined to get rid of Viktor. I didn’t really hate Jayce but I also didn’t love him before this act came out but after this episode, I actually understood why he did what he did.

Ep 8: Killing Is a Cycle

Watching Mel develop her powers was so interesting to me. She looked so cool! When Vi was waking up, it broke my heart when she saw Loris as Vander for a second but I knew there was a reason Riot made his design look so similar to Vander. AND WHEN THEY SHOWED ISHA AND WHAT HAPPENED IN EP 6!! They didn’t have to do that :sob: I loved how angry Vi was when she found out that Jinx had been arrested. At the start of the season she excepted her sister was gone and she had decided there was nothing she could do to bring her back. But after seeing Jinx with Isha and Vander, Vi realized that her sister was still there. Also finding out that Jinx prioritized getting Vi to safety and then turning herself in showed how much Isha’s sacrifice impacted her.

I originally thought Jinx would blame Vi for holding her back but that never happened. Maddie also needs to mind her own business :skull: When Caitlyn was visiting Jinx, I could understand her perspective and I loved to see her it how exhausting hating someone truly was. Jinx giving Caitlyn her own version of an apology for her mother’s death warmed my heart and it also gave me hope for those two. Jayce and Mel’s conversation was very interesting. Jayce just seemed so angry and then that robot thing Viktor had created was pretty scary lmao. Viktor working with Singed and Ambessa wasn’t something I expected but I can see why he was. The whole fight scene was so cool and the entire time I was wondering how they would defeat that thing but they managed with the help of Mel’s newfound powers. I loved seeing those in action.

Jinx hallucinating Silco was heartbreaking. He wasn’t like her Mylo hallucination where he was screaming or making fun of her. Instead he was a calming presence just giving her advice like a father. It was probably the side she saw of him the most. I loved the detail where his one eye was blue and there wasn’t really a scar there either. It was so sad seeing how empty and dead inside she looked. I loved seeing her braids undone but the detail of some things missing from her outfit made me realized that they took it so it couldn’t be used as a weapon against others or herself ☹ Then seeing her interaction with Vi literally broke me. The way she realized her sister was never going to give up on her so she made a decision to take herself out of Vi’s life. Jinx shutting Vi in the cell and then claiming she would break the cycle was genuinely heartbreaking because she looked so tired. You could tell Isha’s sacrifice had affected her badly. She loved Isha :pensive:

Vi and Caitlyn’s scene was interesting but I expected it lmao. I knew they would probably add a scene like that between theme eventually. Then seeing Jayce talk to Mel made me smile a little bit. The meeting though was very interesting. I loved how they symbolized a piano player going off to fight in a war and a father. It shows how terrible war really is and all the people who are willing to fight even if they come from separate backgrounds. It didn’t shock me that Sevika and Scar walked out because they didn’t seem like the type to follow someone into a war who was from Piltover lol. What happened to Vander was horrible though. Viktor turning him into a robot and it showing his memories being erased symbolized Vander was practically dead and it was so sad. The last remaining hope that the sisters and him can have a happy ending together was gone

Ep 9: The Dirt Under Your Nails

Seeing how broken Jinx was made me so upset. She was so depressed after Isha and she cut her hair. I loved her little bob but she looked so dead. The way she burnt the last drop to the ground and even burnt the tent Isha stayed in was terrible :pensive: It made me feel so bad for her because she has endured so much suffering throughout her life. The way she tried to blow herself up was so heartbreaking but then our lovely boy savior saved the day like always! The amount of times Ekko kept rewinding to try and talk to her was so sad. He genuinely looked scared each time she tried to blow herself up. I believe that she thought he was an hallucination at first until he mentioned he wanted to talk her out of blowing them up because she immediately swisher tactic. Jinx tried to jump off so she could protect him from the blast which proved how much she still cared for him even though they had fought in the past. Ekko’s speech to her was so cute though!

I personally enjoyed how they jumped straight into the war. It shows how fast things can really happen. Gert dying was actually sad even though she was a background character. She was the first person to touch Jinx after the jailbreak and they showed her in the alternate world. I loved how they showed the brutal parts of war. When Loris died, I almost cried. I genuinely loved his relationship with Vi. His death was moved on from so quickly but that also shows how war moves fast and you don’t have time to mourn until after. Ambessa was cool to see fight though! When Viktors ball came out, the way Seb immediately went to go grab the explosive and try to do it himself when he saw the dead enforcer proved how willing he was. I also love his character. He’s genuinely cute and I love his facial movements even though he doesn’t really talk which also makes him so unique. It made me sad that father had died though. When Caitlyn was knocked out after their plan failed, I immediately knew there was a traitor because the shadow made a shape of an enforcer mask. When they revealed it was Maddie, I genuinely wasn’t surprised. I was definitely suspicious of her from the start :skull: I was scared that they would kill Seb though but I’m glad they didn’t. The way Mel created a shield around Maddie to make sure that bullet hit her had me laughing! I loved seeing Mel and Caitlyn team up to fight Ambessa and I wasn’t expecting Caitlyn to lose an eye. Mel going against the black rose to try and save her mother was something I could understand. It was still her mom at the end of the day. The Noxian soldiers immediately being loyal to Mel wasn’t surprising because Noxus ires strength.

Jinx’s entrance was so cool! She made her base fly and there were so many details that showed she still thought of Isha ☹ Also the way she brought Mylo and Claggor along was also pretty nice. The firelights will forever be cool with Ekko leading them and I loved how the rest of the undercity came to help probably because of Jinx. I loved how she combined Pow-Pow and Fishbones lmao! It looked so awesome. The robot Warwick attacking Vi and Jinx was heartbreaking because you could see on their face that they recognized him. Also seeing how Vi immediately ran to help Jinx when they had crashed her hideout was so sweet. I loved their fight with Warwick because they worked together.

Jayce and Viktor’s conversation was very interesting as well. I loved seeing Viktor’s League of Legends version in the show. Those two fighting was pretty cool as well. When every character was touch by that light controlled by Viktor, I was actually a little nervous lol! But Ekko saved the day again! Seeing him go past the 4 seconds mark just to save everyone proved why he’s known as the boy savior. He defeated Viktor and was one of the reasons everyone survived. Jayce telling Viktor that imperfections were beautiful was actually heartwarming. YOU CANNOT TELL ME THAT WAS CASUAL LMAO! The way they both sacrificed themselves to get rid of hextech and to save everyone was sad but also made me smile a little bit. Jayce wanted to go with him even though Viktor had given him a way out.

Vi crying over Vander while Jinx was so concerned made be tear up. Vi was having flashbacks of when they were younger and she was losing Vander for a second time even though she had been given hope that he had been alive. He was truly gone this time and she had to go through that grief again. Then Jinx jumping in to save Vi from Vander when he woke up made me genuinely scared for her and I had every right to be. The way she told Vi that she was always with her made me realize what she was about to do and I started bawling my eyes out. Watching Jinx fall with a smile and blow that bomb up made me so sad because I have been obsessed with her for years :skull: Watching Vi cry as she lost the final member of her family was so heartbreaking.

Seeing the memorial for everyone they lost was such a beautiful scene in my opinion. They knew what they were doing when they showed that father’s family :skull: THE WAY THEY SHOWED EKKO ALL ALONE KILLED ME! He saved the world but lost his world :confounded: We got timebomb but at what cost smh. Seeing them rebuild the council and Sevika being there actually made me happy though because it was showing they were finally willing to give the undercity a voice. Caitlyn with an eye patch looked pretty cool! I loved how Vi was humming the song from the beginning of season 1, it was a nice call back and learning that was sung by their mother originally actually made that scene from season 1 a lot sadder. At least Vi and Caitlyn got their happy ending but Ekko and Jinx didn’t :pensive: I SWEAR SHES ALIVE GUYS!! There was a reason they showed that airship and those vents!!! There was a glimpse of pink which could have been her escaping with shimmer!! SHES ALIVE!! (Idc if I’m delusional :smiley: )
