يحتفل المسلمون في اليابان بقدوم شهر رمضان المبارك بإقامة الشعائر الدينية بالإضافة إلى تحضير الموائد الرمضانية التي لا تغيب عنها أكلاتهم التقليدية؛ وذلك من أجل زيادة الروابط بين المسلمين في اليابان وخاصةً بين العرب الذين يكونون قادمين لأغراض سريعة ولا يعرفون في هذه البلاد أحدًا تقريبًا، وتكون هذه المآدب بديلاً عن التجمعات الإسلامية المعروفة في أيٍّ من البلدان الأخرى بالنظر إلى غياب هذه التجمعات في اليابان.

كما يحرص المسلمون على أداء صلاة التراويح والقيام في أيام الشهر الكريم، ويأتي الدعاة من البلاد العربية والإسلامية،

أيضًا يتم جمع الزكاة من أجل إنفاقها في وجوه الخير ودعم الفقراء والمحتاجين، ويتم جمع هذه الزكاة طوال العام وفي شهر رمضان في المركز الإسلامي صاحب المصداقية العالية في هذا المجال.

وفي خصوص صلاة العيد فإن الدعوة لها تبدأ من العشر الأواخر في شهر رمضان، وقد كانت تقام في المساجد والمصليات فقط، لكن في الفترة الأخيرة بدأت إقامتها في الحدائق العامة والمتنزهات والملاعب الرياضية.. الأمر الذي يشير إلى إقبال المسلمين في اليابان من أهل البلاد أو الأجانب عنها على الصلاة، كما يساعد على نشر الدين بين اليابانيين وتعريفهم به حين يرون المسلمين يمارسون شعائرهم، ويشير هذا أيضًا إلى الحرية الممنوحة للمسلمين في اليابان. وتحرص المساجد في اليابان على فتح أبوابها أمام المسلمين وغير المسلمين خلال شهر رمضان من أجل تعريفهم بالدين الإسلامي.

Muslims in Japan celebrate the advent of the holy month of Ramadan by performing religious rituals, in addition to preparing Ramadan tables, from which their traditional foods are not absent. Mosques in Japan are keen to open their doors to Muslims and non-Muslims during the month of Ramadan in order to introduce them to the Islamic religion.
