Is Using A Base You Drew Considered As Editing And Not Drawing?

Haii everyone!! So I’m trying to test a new technique which maybe allows you to draw quicker and not so time consuming for making animatics and such and basically you draw different body parts for your oc, and then just connect them to make different poses and basically use them as a base. I learned this from editing Gacha characters but is it considered editing if your the one who drew the base in the first place?
